We should be able to get our pick of the litter

and yes in theory we should be able to pull an elite RB, but i don't see it happening in 2012.

Id say we have a pretty good shot at Brian Kimbrow as well... Do you follow recruiting? Or do you just like making negative statements based on nothing?

Kimbrow and cross certainly have the potential to be great players here if we end up landing both of them. But when I think of elite backs in this class I think of marshall and gray. Don't think we have a shot at either of them but regardless we have the potential to have a very solid ground game in a year or two.

It will be nice to have an SEC caliber line again. Remember, while we should be pretty good there, we're only catching back up with Florida, Alabama, LSU, etc. Good company though.

Yes, we have a great chance to land Brian Kimbrow, but I don't consider him an elite RB. The OP said we should have our pick of the litter at RB and that's not the case. I don't consider the RBs we currently have a legitimate shot at landing elite. Hopefully that changes seeing there is a long way to go. Either way we don't have elite RBs knocking down the door to play behind our OL. Take it as negative if you want.

Exactly my point. Great talents but not cream of the crop.

I think we will prove adequate to borderline decent at RB this season... The real question is whether or not we can run block. Remains to be seen.

Nope.Good to borderline great.

You're right about the run blocking tho. It's the obvious running plays that need the most improvement.3rd n 2...4th n 1...those are the plays we need to make.

I believe Kerbyson is getting a look at DT, but either way the Oline looks much better than last year. More experience and more weight. I am excited to watch what happens.

:loco:
I thought Posey might be the one to get a look at DT, as he played it in HS also, no?

I'm really torn between wanting to see Tiny Richardson moved to DT or stay at OT. He would be a difference maker at either position, IMHO.

I am wondering the same thing. I think Richardson would be an absolute beast at DT.
