I hate SEC pride. I hope all 13 other SEC teams lose every game.

I'm not that bad, but I hope Bammer loses every game they ever play from now until Armageddon. I am now fully anti-UGA since they fired Richt, but ain't no way I'm rooting for Jimmy Franklin and PSU. I don't like the gators and it does tickle me when they lose, especially against Ga. Southern. The others I don't mind as much, but I do laugh a lot at UK and Black-and-Gold Northwestern quite often when they play football.

My boyfriend is a psu alum so I pull for both teams when they play, psu for him and the opposition so I can jeer at Franklin. I tell all of his psu friends that Frabklin is bringing down the program, after this year they are beginning to believe me

The announcers are making a big deal of it about the conferences so if it's going to be like that then I'm pulling for my conference because of perception

When I grew up in Knoxville I hated the rest of the SEC and wished ill will on them all but living around the country and world has changed my view some. When I was in the desert we got together with he other SEC guys to have SEC watch parties on Armed Forces network or a Skype broadcast from people's families. It's funny, the other SEC guys were like a family. We could laugh and talk about each other but all came together to slam the big 10 or ND fans that got out of line. I am just glad that Tennessee is getting back to holding up its part of the SEC pride that so many hate. SEC needs to be strong so that it is always an automatic ticket to the final 4.

We are judged as a conference by our bowl performances! Fact

We are judged primarily by how we perform on the field, but also by the conference we are in (as a general, "how hard is their conference schedule" kind of measure).

Our conference is judged by our collective performances out of conference, not just in the bowls but in the regular season as well.

This year, the SEC won the regular season, narrowly, with the PAC in a close second. B10 and B12 were close behind, too. ACC was significantly weaker than the other four Power5 conferences.

Will that prove out in the bowls as well? So far, SEC is 2-0, soon looking to be 3-0 (Miss St has 31-14 lead on NC St). PAC is looking strong at 5-1. B10 is 2-1, B12 is 1-1, and ACC is tail end charlie at 2-3 (looking like 2-4 soon). Lot of football left to play.

Conference standings matter. Glad to be in the best conference in the nation; that way when we whup all dey azzes, we're guaranteed a spot in the playoffs.

Go Vols!

Good post, but give the PAC another loss for failing to get a team into the CFP. As a result, they are playing in easier bowls (against easier competition), on average, than the SEC is.

They've already played 6 bowls and the SEC is barely getting started!

You're right, SEC only has one game against Group of 5 teams (Auburn beat Memphis of the American Conf.), while PAC has 3 non-Power 5 games (two vs Mtn West, 1 against Conf USA). And as you note, they're not playing at the very highest tier of competition, the playoffs.

The long run it would be easier to convert him into a Vol.

Go Vols!

screw the rest of the SEC!!! Cheering for teams in your conference to win is insane... It would be like a BILLS fan cheering for the PATRIOTS to win the super bowl ... AINT HAPPENING

You were the little boy in your neighborhood that ran home with "your ball" because you weren't having fun. Do you not understand that if the other teams in the conference win it makes us look better. You don't have to cheer for them but saying "screw the SEC" is ignorant.

1) Who the **** is Luke Parker?

2) If it happens to be you are Luke Parker, referring to yourself in third person and saying "I rule" makes you a huge d-bag.

Are you a huge d-bag? Just for future reference...

This might be the dumbest, most ironic thing I have ever read.

These aren't far behind.

I see the argument, both ways, but have a hard time giving up the "Southern Pride" thing as long as it doesn't directly hurt the VOLS...just an old fart, I guess. HOWEVER, bammer can lose every game and I'm ok w/ that.:rock::rock::rock:
