I was embarrassed by some of the UT fans' behavior tonight but most of the bad ones seemed to be the dumb redneck variety.

But some UNC fans weren't much better.

I woulda been aiming for their players and their coaches as well as refs if i woulda been there to be completely honest

I can't say I am embarrassed by anything. I didn't see the trash throwing but the announcer mentioned it. Said not to throw it onto the field. The UNC fans were very brash after the game. If I were them, I would have kept my mouth shut as I left. They got lucky.

I agree to an extent but what about innocent bystanders? Like kids who don't understand what's going on. I am a big football fan and can get rowdy but having kids make me think on my actions, if kids and are present I control my actions. We wonder why they are kids committing adult acts these days.

Empty, full, whatever I play in a band and have seen bottles slung toward the stage empty or not they still come in quick, it's not funny it down right follish and dumb and I just became dumber by answer your dubmb, lame comment.

I just hit myself with an empty plastic water bottle with maximal force and it felt like getting hit by paper. Also you must know as an item goes through the air, force acts upon it reducing the "damage" inflicted. If you get hit by a Frisbee from 1 inch away it kills, however from 40 yards it does not.

What are you talking about? Maybe you took my statement the wrong way. What I was saying is that if I were in there shoes I would have just left without talking any trash. Trash talking should be reserved for those who clearly display there dominance over another. UNC got lucky.

Obviously if I am not a trash talker, than I am not going to "beat them up."

I was embarrassed to be a UT fan in my section tonight. Multiple people threw bottles and trash on the field towards UNC players. Say what u want if u think they weren't aiming for the players. Fans in the end zone were throwing things towards the event crew people. Yes I was pissed off as much as anyone about the game, but chose not to be a drunk redneck.

One dude had an arm. While in OT, a bottle came from the opposite side of the endzone and landed 1 ft from a ref. Ha. I was proud of the dad and son beside me. The dad took the time (and he was just as angry as all of us) to explain to his son that you shouldn't ever act that way.

Alright high and mighties. Yall are right, its not the "classy" thing to do. It friggn happens in all sports but tennis. Go to wimbledon if you want classy. This stuff is religion in the south. Get with it or get over it. No one was hurt. We got hosed and it was the quickest and easiest way for some of us to show our displeasure. (Btw, I didn't throw a damned thing. I simply understand why some did)

I am just as "religious" are you guys are but it's not a claass act to do stuff like that, it just shows how disrespectful you are to people. I was just as angry as you guys are but I didn't throw a "temper tantrum" because I was displeased I explained to the wife and kids what happened, my opinion in a classy way and walked off to the pitstop.

Your point is taken (glad you weren't involved) but it's nothing to do with "high and mighty". The high road maybe. Sorry I feel the way I do but it's always blows my mind the way people think they're entitled to display their emotion at the potential risk to everyone else. It's selfish and dangerous.
