Because he hit one 67-yard field goal? Impressive, but I'll take consistency any day over a big leg.

Need more data. :)

Saw that this morning on the news. And he cleared it with ease. Even if he just punted. Dude has a leg

Where in the article does it say he isn't consistent? Oh,I guess you're comparing him to the "consistent" Vol kickers.

If he wants to come all the way across the country and be a walk on then great. Otherwise, we're not going to put another kicker on scholarship.

I think he was saying over our kickers.. which are not consistent or powerful. Plus it never said he isn't consistant.

Is palardy going to do the punting from now on? I'm sorry if this was posted somewhere else.. His punts in the Miss St game were longer than all of Darr's combined seemed like.

Haven't seen it confirmed by anyone, but I would say it's safe to assume that Palardy will be punting. Darr has been wildly inconsistent. I don't see how you trust him back there...

I hate to say it but wish coaches would pull Darr's scholly to bring in someone else. He clearly hasn't earned the right to keep it imo.

Why do you hate to say that? Darr and I kick about the same distance and Im not on an athletic scholarship. I've also never played punter or kicker a day in my life.

Palardy has been very consistent lately, I don't think he has miss any kicks in practice the past few weeks & I believe has been perfect on kicks & punts.

I would be willing to bet we are the only team in the country who has ended a game with our QB avg more yards a punt than our punter. Oh.. The life of a Tennessee Vol fan. :spank:

Jeff the stats image I posted above is from ESPN shows Tyler Bray with (1) kick for 22 yards with an avg. of 22 yards and Micheal Palardy with (3) kicks for a total of 134 yards with an avg. of 44.7 yards on the day. Thats the best kicking day we have had in a long time and above the nations avg. for punts. On that day I believe kicking was something we really could not ***** about. But we need this consistency every week from Palardy or who ever .......... :good!:

FWIW, Rehkow made a 52 and 56 yarder this season and has a partial scholly to Eastern Washington.

Fun Facts:
Rehkow's 67 yarder broke an 83 yr old state record (Nat'l + 68yds)---62 yards in 1929.

More Fun Facts:
In the same gm, Brett Rypien (nephew of former WSU and NFL QB, Mark Rypien) broke the states single game passing record by throwing for 577yds.
