Drinkwitz seems a little butt hurt about his visits to Neyland...HAHAHAHA
By far the corniest goofball in the conference and that’s saying something bc South Carolina has Beamer. Drink is into cosplay and occasional dry humping his assistant coaches.

If anything, we should paint everything in the visitor's locker room pink and have poster-size art work depicting pretty flowers, rainbows and unicorns. I think they would really appreciate that.

Painting visitors' locker rooms pink is a psychological tactic sometimes used in sports to potentially reduce opponents' aggression and increase their own team's advantage. The idea, stemming from color psychology, is that pink can have a calming effect, leading to a less intense mental state for the visiting team.

Here's a more detailed look:

The Psychology:

Pink is often associated with calmness, relaxation, and even passivity. Some theories suggest it can lower testosterone levels and reduce aggression.

Sports Applications:

In sports, particularly football, locker rooms are often painted a bright, sometimes jarring, color, intended to create a sense of intimidation for the visiting team. However, a pink locker room flips this on its head, aiming to disarm and de-energize opponents.

Baker-Miller Pink:

A specific shade of pink, known as Baker-Miller pink, has been studied for its potential calming effects. Some reports suggest it can even weaken muscles and calm moods.

Notable Examples:

The University of Iowa's Kinnick Stadium famously features a pink visiting locker room, complete with pink urinals and showers. Former Iowa coach Hayden Fry, who had a psychology degree, was a proponent of this tactic.

This👆🏻, but seedier. Make it look like a cheap hotel room in Tijuana.

Also, 1 urinal, 1 toilet, 3 working shower heads (Mizzou players like to “buddy up” in the shower anyway).

Watched a video from S.E.C.media days. Obviously our visitor locer rooms are bad. It would piss me off to fly or bus multiple hrs to end up in a sweat box but thats the standard S.E.C way.
Pos visitor locker rooms with no climate control and bad lightind... gives opps a reason to play harder. They are conditioned for this..

What if we made the visitors locker feel like home or near. Opps feel comfy till they get hit with 102k.
We are in full offseason mode at this point. Thanks for this discussion. People are getting upset over a silly non-issue. Volnation is healing right before the season.

The worst visitors locker room in college football resides in iowa city iowa, home of the Hawkeyes. It’s at the top of the stadium in a corner and painted pink inside. Long long walk straight up and the pink inside is horrid.
Hayden Fry – 1979-1998, 238 games coached at Iowa, 143-89-6 record, .608 winning percentage 😎 This fellow was the Iowa coach that began this long ago. I've long admired his sense of humor & sideways sportsmanship.

We could save some cash and paint the visitor's locker room with a couple cases of pepto bismo. Any leftover could be distributed to fans with chronic BVS.

Win win

It’s football tradition at all levels to make the visitors locker room as miserable as possible.

YES - I recall this now.
My high school colors were royal purple and old gold.
I think it was about my Sophomore year that some administrator got a facilities renovation order mixed up and was supposed to get like 25 gallons of dark purple and 5 of "old gold", which is really a weird shade of yellow...school ended up with 25 gal of the 'baby s#!t amber' color.

Welcome visitor locker room - we used the same visitor locker room for Football and Basketball, which also doubled as an equipment storage space...you know that place where are all the deflated balls, worn out unis, broken machines, extra gym mats, volleyball nets, and such lived.

Good times.

Why would we want to do anything to enhance our opponents’ visit? They don’t care about us so why should we care about them? Screw em all.

I say we make it like Guantanamo Bay. Lock them in there and send in Big Bob. They aren’t allowed to leave until they do what he wants.
