Speaking of our pregame I'm all for having class and all but I absolutely can not stand having to hear the other teams fight song before the game. I know we're trying to show class and I guess it helps ticket sales to have visitor fans but why do we have to get them fired up? Lets just let them be quite visitor fans. It kills me to see the other fans cheering to "OUR" band playing "THEIR" song. Anybody else feel the same way?

I HATE THAT THE PRIDE PLAYS THE OTHER TEAMS' SONGS TOO!!! SCREW THEM! It's our stadium we shouldn't make them comfortable, we should make them feel intimidated!

I love when they play the other teams song. U see their little section cheer and some boos. Then here's Rocky Top!!!! And the place goes crazy!!!! The place starts rockin' because it is following the other teams fight song. Great tradition!:rock:

I was at the Orange Bowl when UT beat Miami in 2003, I think we need songs like that on 3rd and 4th down situations when we're on D or throw some Welcome to the Jungle when teams are about to face our D...the U does that and it's awesome.
When they came on to face our D, every time, they'd have Bone Crusher and TI's "Never Scared" coming on just to intimidate UT fans and UT players. We need that at UT.

Having college bands play music in the stands is one of the traditions that makes College football great. I dont want piped in music from the PA system. That makes it seem like a soulless NBA game or something.

we actually do have a song that we play when we run out.. i dont know if youve heard of it or not its called
"ROCKY TOP" i dont know what you think but i like it the way it is..... they actually did play back in black at the game when we wore the black jerseys after the coin toss.....

"Rocky Top" is the best fight song ever it gets me fired up everytime i love rocky top... btw are u even a vol fan

You are wrong about the "everyone" part. If you don't get chills when the POSLB plays "Rocky Top", then your blood ain't really orange.

It's a tradition, a sign of respect, and one that I will defend to my dying day. UT has class.

Besides, it's nice to let the other team's fans hear what their fight song is really supposed to sound like...

I agree, that stays. "Down the Field" stays. Back in Black stays at Lane Stadium.

Well I go to a different road game every year and I've been to several of our rivals stadiums and nobody else does that.

The POTS had many traditions. Those historic traditions will not be changed by a football coach.

We do not run out to rocky top there hoss, the song is called down the field.

Speaking of traditions not being changed by football coaches......I hope that Dooley will push back the start time of the vol walk again.....its my understanding that the shortened time after the vol walk was a nightmare for the POTS.....I know its about football, but I know that Lane Kiffin had absolutely NO idea about any of the traditions of UT, including those of the Pride
