We need a QB that can scramble

I just see this a a huge missing link in our program. The one year we had a top shelf scrambler, T Martin, we won the NC. Driscol won that game for them with his legs. We were constantly confused as to who had the ball and he was just another guy we had to account for at all times. A scrambling QB is just too taxing on a defense.

It all starts with defense--no question about it. However, I'm reminded of two GREAT defensive teams that we had during the Randy Sanders OC era--and each of those years (which were not consecutive years--maybe a three-year gap between them) we had one the worst offenses in college football!

And that's just the running QB's that won the big game. That doesn't even mention the one's who at least got there team there only to lose.

For every Cam Newton there are dozens of James Banks. Almost every time UT gets a mobile high school QB, he plays somewhere else. Jermaine Copeland, Banks, Fayton, Lucas Taylor, Gerald Jones, Eric Berry etc etc etc...they rarely pan out as passers.
