A.J. will do wonders on the goal line, but the vols need a real short yardage rb, like D. Henry. D green would be fine too. Jabari Davis was pretty lame in general, but he had some excellent games against Florida. Yes I would have rather had Cadillac Williams at the time.

Only good thing about that loss is Green and Henry both seen first hand, they would start from day one.

Needed to be said. Obviously it was obvious. Frustration builds with every short yardage play(except A.J.'s run). I think J-train had asthma anyway.

We need to line up in the power I like we used to. We need AJ to do a lead block along with the linemen. We are not able to finesse anyone now.

Why would any top shelf running back want to play in this offense?

Chaney's scheme is a pansy one...running out of the gun and etc., but based on the personnel he may be stuck between a rock and a hard place

Derrick Green is loving the vols and noticed that we need him. He stated on volquest "he could see himself doing well in this offense"

Most of the successful running plays have come out of the pistol. Pickens, are you saying you would not throw it to Hunter , Cp and Rivera. Pansey? I think not. The vols will likely score a ton of points and avg. many yards. I tell you what is Pansey=the way you tackled your freshman year. Oops, forgot pick is an expert.

Need a power running game to attract a power running back. You need guys with vision and fast twitch to get much out of this scheme. RB is just about always counted on to make a guy miss in this deal. Bray no threat to run, they only have to focus on one guy... That guy better be a bad SOB or they look pedestrian like they do.

If they had one and he was doing ok I suspect they would abandon the run to start slinging the ball around.

Not gonna win in the SEC or a National championship with out a running game.

Dead on the money. This is the biggest need and the missing piece of our offense. It doesn't have to be a power back, but we need a true feature back that can take over a game.

Allen Hill runs with good power.......he just has mono right now. Bourqe also runs with good power is he can get off the hash

heaviest line in the SEC , 2 awesome receivers , a good QB and TE ..sounds like an ideal situation for power football.

I know the backs have not shown up ...but the scheme does not lend itself to their success. I think they would look pretty good running power , with CP and JH they would be running against 7.

All of this talk from the coaches about big plays from the backs ...they dont need BIG plays. They need consistant gains ...4 yards a carry wins games.
