We need a new college hoops game!!!

I for one am agitated this hasn't been announced for 2012 yet, 2K has the rights to the college games now yet they aren't making them, and they had it last year and determined not to make it for 2011 either... I am consistently finding myself playing College Hoops 2K8 over NBA 2K12 just because I love college basketball so much. Has anyone heard anything about a new installment?

I don't know but I would buy it for sure. I think I saw ncaa10 basketball game? With Blake Griffin on the cover but never picked it up.

2k8 is one of the best sports games ever made.

EA's CBB games are pure trash.

Just fired up 2K8 the other day. I could honestly play legacy mode forever. It's so ridiculously deep, just started a new one with Boise State.

they never need to make another CBB game again. They were all so terrible, terrible, terrible. Especially EA's. If I didn't shoot 90% then I just had a crappy game.

I remember scoring 100 points with Thabeet at Uconn on one of their last editions... he literally didn't miss out of like 40 field goal minus 1 three pointer... I even made 3 3 pointers with him somehow... anything inside 15 feet was an automatic dunk.

Reminds me of the NBA Action games for Genesis.

Which basically consisted of me running to the top of the key, pressing the shoot button, and watching my guy magically fly all the way to the basket (through all 5 defenders mind you) to dunk.

I'd love another College Hoops. I think this time around 2K would do a better job on what the series used to be.

I can't recall an EA basketball game in recent history that hasn't been completely terrible

I swear, EA Sports has been the worst thing to happen to video games since the Virtual Boy.

I always enjoyed the 2k series of college games. The EA series, though? Not so much.

I've actually still got a copy of College Hoops 2k7 that I still play every now and then.

I am looking into getting college hoops 2k8, after playing NBA 2k11 and 12 will it be unplayable because it's so old oor does it stand the test of time?

Not old enough that it would make much of a difference IMO. Still holds up very well today. People are still putting out roster updates for it as well.

Fair enough, I may track it down and see if I can get it for a reasonable price.

The 2K games were the ish....I bought them solely for the Legacy mode....I wish they would make another one, but I just don't see it happening due to very very low sales...Hopefully, I'll be wrong though.
