You take away two costly turn overs and we win 17-6. I was glad to see us line up and smash them in the mouth. And how about that AWSOME D. My vote for best D in the country. Way to go guys. We still have not given up 100 yrds on the ground.

If we can play power football like that, and miraculously improve on special teams, we can win out.

Have not given up over 100 rushing to an individual. Brown only had 94 yards rushing in the game. Georgia finished rushing for 198 yards (73 yards rushing on their final TD drive).

Rushing defense -

UAB 53
FLA 68
LSU 98
MIS 50
UGA 198
ALA 67

TOT 534

The announcers were saying that UT has not had one back rush for 100 yards against them, which is true.

As for the power game...it showed up in spurts, but not enough to make a huge difference. If we really had a power game, we would have been running the ball on that 4th down late in the first half as opposed to going to the shotgun and throwing it.

Think he's talking about our defense... our offense is just sad and does not deserve to be called a power anything. Not even a powerful pile of dung.

Yeah I am crazy so! But that has nothing to do with the fact that we drove the ball twice inside their 10 and made stupid mistakes and turned the ball over both times. Knowing we cant throw they stacked the line and we still moved the ball on them. remember they do have a very good D. So I stand by my comment.

Agreed...109 yards rushing and 250 total is hardly "finding our personality" or "getting back to TN football."

We have no offense. Check that: We have a BAD offense. Six games into the season it is what it is.

Admittedly, I think we have a better shot running it and throwing in some quick game and play action. After that, play defense and cross your fingers.

It would be down right SCARY how good our defense would be if our offense would do its part.

Some are acting like we played St Mary's School of the blind. bammer (as much as I dislike them) has a very good D. Top 5 in the nation. And they were very jacked up for this game. I liked what I saw when we went to the power I and ran the ball. Foster and Riggs both made some hard runs. I just wonder what our record would be if we had used more of a power game all year?

We didn't do any better last year against them offensively. The difference is we didn't turn the ball over 4 times last year.

If you count the turnover on downs, we really turned it over 5 times.

109 yards rushing.....real powerful.......................

Didn't the second drive start on like the 40 or 50 yard line??????

And Oh, Tennessee offense made Alabama's defense look better than they were.

Florida had 139 net rushing yards against Alabama!

Arkansas had 237 net rushing yards against Alabama!

If Brodie doesn't miss a couple of wide open deep balls we would of been beat atleast 17-3

I think it helped us POTENTIALLY if we would have used what we had gotten done in the run game. We did little if anything with play action, which could have also helped protect the passer (one answer given as to why we didn't throw).

But BAMA could sit back in their base and let us run for 3 yards a carry while we were hard-headed. A little play action and some combination routes would have nice to sprinkle in. Then, just MAYBE, it would not have been life or death if we didn't score on our two trips inside the 20.
