At least we're one of the tallest midgets in our tier.

We could conceivably over achieve the next two years and skip all the way into tier 3 going into 2023 if our recruiting is on par.

Accept for us, FSU, Nebraska and maybe a few others in our tier; the rest of these midgets can only hope to grow up to be a dwarf.

Reasonable, though very simplistic. It's hampered by being alphabetical also which suggests we're "lower 4th tier" which we're not.

I suggest we are the "tallest midget" in the 4th tier because we've underachieved for 2 decades AND just fired 3 coaches "with cause" + a ton of recruiting staff to hand the NCAA a hammer to hit us with for "Lack of Institutional Control" over recruiting.

Until the NCAA finally rules on us, other SEC and Power 5 schools can point to potential upcoming bowl bans + scholarship/visit dings to influence recruits that we're not a place to showcase their talent for the next level.

"Hell, they can't even get a major TV slot for their Thursday opening game." Look... Boise State vs UCF or Jax State vs UAB is on ESPN while we're on SECN. Jeez......

It's going to be a tough few years on the recruiting trail.

I'll suggest Pitt as an early bellwether for this team.

If we lose to Pitt that should wake up even the staunchest "Sunshine Pumpers" that Fulmer and Pruitt have sliced an artery and the combination of the portal, impending sanctions, and negative recruiting will be more devastating to recruiting then we've ever seen.

Heupel would need to be the ghost of General Neyland to just survive with a winning record for 5-6 years.

I like Orange Glasses....... but seriously, underachieved for 2 decades and facing major NCAA sanctions, c'mon y'all...... this sucks.

This is based mostly on record and not other program fundamentals ($$$, resources), otherwise, why would a coach have left a tier 3 school for a tier 5 school about to be on probation.

On what planet is Boise mentioned in the same breath as those other schools in Tier 2? Maybe 10-15 years ago, but definitely not now.

And ours has been on steroids. I think what sets us apart from most fan bases is that when their team sucks or something embarrassing happens to them they go underground and maybe stays a little quiet . With our group, the crazier group of fans comes out of the woodwork and gets even louder.

This is hilarious. In what world does OSU belong in tier 1 and Boise State tier 2? They haven’t won $hit lol. I could maybe make a case for OSU but still.
