Since I'm sober, I'll explain what happened. Foreman came from behind and knocked the ball out and JRM fell on it. The defense didn't quit and they were able to make a play because of it.

That's cool and all. If it didn't happen, we were giving up the touchdown. I'm sick of watching what appears to be a damn good defense go into '**** your pants' mode whenever things get tight.

uscjr had no business being tied with us in the 4th. A win is a win, but we looked horrible. This is the worst we played all season. My gosh, Malone has to make that catch, he's not ready to be a big time WR. Thank god for Pearson. Vandy and mizzou will beat us if we play and coach like tonight.

Pearson dropped one too. So did Josh Smith.

We once again blew a 17 point lead. This time to an absolutely horrible team. So horrible their coach quite a few games ago. They fumbled at the 15 yard line to end the game...and you think we got over a hump? Wow. This coaching staff is horrible. Why a lot of fans don't see it I have no idea

I knew before the season started that our defense would fade late in games . I also knew that they would fade against larger more physical offensive lines ...and knew this before the season started . I have access to this mysterious document that many do not know about . Its called a depth chart .

With freshmen interior tackles and limited depth in the interior and youthful MLB play ...I expected nothing less.

I am not sure why teams like Bama and LSU waste their time with a three deep at DT and defense platooning ....they should just tap the 'x' button faster during the summer conditioning ..right ? Poor Butch not only did not tap the X button fast enough ....he does have the personnel for a 3 deep or a platoon .

I am very happy we won but I do not understand allowing USCE QB to sit back in the pocket and pick us apart. Zero pressure in 2nd half.

**** your pants' mode whenever things get tight ...must mean forcing a fumble and recovering it to win the game ? Right ?

One thing for certain, this team is exciting, if not excruciating, to watch.

GO VOLS!

And what if the player had went down?

Did our coaching staff know he was going to fumble?

We found a way to win the type of game we have lost all year. Ugly wins still count as a W.
We did not play our best game and still looked like our talent was a cut above USCjr. Recruiting, talent, and confidence are all trending upwards for the VOLS for the first time in a long time.

FTR. South Carolina is an improving team. Yes we should have done way better. But better than losing.

We/they didn't win. Winning would have been the offense plowing ahead for a first down and suckling away any chance for SC. Instead SC coughed it up.

This should be pinned.

Seriously, no matter how atrocious we looked on certain plays or quarters, our squad made a play. Period. Have to move on.

Actually, I think you're wrong...somewhat. Cock OC and DC made great adjustments and we were late to the show...just a little slow...to make ours...we...win...:)

GO VOLS!

I'd be willing to bet a porn site has already taken that name.

So lets forfeit the win...would that make you feel better?

Yeah, that'd be great! Could you guys stop this nonsense about anyone that questions the staff, being some kind of super secret undercover bama operatives already?

GO VOLS!

Here is the myth of halftime "adjustments" in certain circumstances. We did just about everything we wanted to schematically in the first half. When this happens, you don't change much, if anything. I can almost guarantee, outside of some minor things, halftime consisted of "We need to keep doing this, stop doing that, etc". SC on the other hand, was lost as last year's Easter egg in the first half. They go in at half-time and scrap their plan and come out with something new.

There is no way for a coaching staff to be psychic as to what the opponents are going to do in that situation. It takes a while to figure it out on the fly in the 3rd quarter. This leads to some quick 3 and outs, frustrations, etc. Compound that with crappy execution, stupid penalties, and DROPS, and you have a sloppy 2nd half.

They shut down our run game in the 2nd half, and it took a while to shift our focus to more in the throw game. People that have never had the headsets on think it is sooooooo easy to "adjust" on the fly, but it is not as simple as some make it out to be.

Folks, give some credit to South Carolina for coming in and carrying the fight to us. They had absolutely nothing to lose and they came in here with a chip on their shoulder and we got worked a little bit. I know everyone wanted us to curb stomp South Carolina today but it didn't turn out that way and you just have to tip your hat to them. College football is a crazy sport.
