We just hired another coach who has proved nothing.

I'm not going to waste my time scrolling through another ignorant thread started by a clown that has no clue. Before posting stupidity, and we know who they are, can you name a coach who was a great DC with poor players? Crickets................................

good job with the defense last year--and had very little talent to work with. Wilcox was a GOOD hire because he had DC experience at a smaller but very respectable program. That is a good hiring model. Hiring guys without experience at their new job is a risk--so in my view Sunseri is a riskier hirer than Wlcox. If he proves a big-time recruiter, it may not matter--time will tell.

DC with time--he was decidedly not a good DC in his first two/three years on the job. He/we got torched by spurrier, though that was in part a factor of not having the players or schemes to defend florida at that point in time. Chavis grew into the job--and he is a damn good coach. This guy has a lot of coaching experience, so let's hope it is his time to shine.

last time i checked all coaches start at the bottom and work their way up... seems like a great hire to me but before they hired him im sure they looked hard into him and seen everything he is capable of... did u research him at all or do u just know he was a lb coach at bama and all of a sudden posted this because we didnt get RS

Our fanbase blows stuff out of proportion too much. Sunseri isn't necessarily a bad hire, but he is not a homerun by any means. He is unproven as a coordinator, and a lot of people just assume he will be good because he comes from Alabama. The other poster pointed out a valid fact that most people are overlooking - he is unproven. Then everyone jumps down his throat for making a negative comment. The UT fanbase wants something good to happen so badly that they are starting to get excited over anything.

He may be a good recruiter. But just because he was a linebackers coach for a team who had amazing talent doesn't mean he'll be a good defensive coordinator here.

i have given out 2 of these today so this makes #3 enjoy im pretty sure it will fit you head , like it was ment to

A day in the life of a Negavol " Jesus was a terrible hire, he has done nothing on the defensive side, just developed Tim Tebow.. Moses actually coached the linebackers and Noah did the recruiting.. Jesus was a terrible hire."

Thats what it seems like I read every day on here. At some point Saban wasn't proven. Just be happy with who we have. It could always be worse.

If we had Goliath as our center in bball we could win a championship, per Will West.

Nothing like playing the devil's advocate. Not sure you know much about the situation at UT. You apparently just like to stir the pot!

What some of the posters in this thread lack in brains they more than make up for it in stupidity

I agree.. and now DD has hired another proven top recruiter (2011 national recruiter of the year btw) to go with LT and our new OL coach who just happens to be a top 25 recruiter and ACC recruiter of the year.. :dance2:

People need to stop *****ing and move on.. I think these are good hires especially considering the situation.

Someone started a thread pondering what the "BichVols" would start beeching about next. Well, here you go .

Chavis was a good DC. However, he was still getting torched on 3rd down more times than not near the end of his career at UT.

as majors proved time and time again, its a helluva lot easier to get to 7-4 from 4-7 than it is to get to 11-0 from 7-4.

i don't see the boy with the famous last name even doing the first part consistently. he's still looking for the second winning season in his career. it might have happened in the sun belt by now. the sec is something else.

I see SEC defense in the works.
Had we gone this way 2 years ago it would be a different story today.
Defense wins in the SEC.

Any chance you start bringing in 4s and 5s you will be better than bringing in 3s and 4s.His linebackers were awesome in NC and he has alot of experience both college and pro.If you don't like him pull for Vandy we don't need you

Don't act like he was working with SEC talent in the SunBelt. Actually, if you look at what Dykes did this year with Dooley's recruits, you will see a program that was on the up and up because of Dooley.
I just don't understand why people post things without doing a little research?
Do you even know anything about college football?

True. However, don't rain on our parade. Homerun hires that actually pan out are rare anyway. Give him a fair shot.
