Dooley better be hitting the road recruiting. We just don't have the players to stay in the game. I think it's more on our personnel than the coaches/schemes.

Agreed... We need two more stong recruiting classes to be be able to stay in games. We have raw talent but our lack of depth is apparent in every game. This game looked a whole lot like the Oregon game where we played them close in the first half and just fell apart in the end. A HUGE factor in this loss is lack of beef on the defensive line. We need to get a couple of BIG(like 330 lb) defensive tackles. We're using ends to play tackle and nose.

Dooley and his staff are recruiting for positions of need. They're not going to get a top 10 class, maybe not even a top 20 class, and that alone will make people think that they are not doing an adequate job on the recruiting front. 2011 could be even worse than this season in terms of on the field product. I'm really thinking that the Vols will have a new hfc by Jan. 2012. I like Dooley and I appreciate how crummy a hand he was dealt here but people are not going to stand for this slop. Barring a miracle, he's gone in 2 seasons (my prediction).

We have the players to get the right amount of guys on the field, making the difficult decision to hand the ball off, etc.

He is recruiting. And a big part of his recruiting was this game.

Our first half is how we do coaching wise. Our second half is how we do depth wise.

Same story with Oregon, same story with Florida.

I don't think he's gone in two seasons. In 2012 we'll be a pretty good team. It's safe to say that our football team is a work in progress. I don't think any coach could truly be competative with this team right now.

this season will also leave a very bad taste in this young teams mouth, they were hotdogs in high school, blown out in their first yr in college, I think will see some guys hitting the weight room harder than ever in the off season, putting on weight and some serious conditioning. They've been given a good taste of what it'll take to compete and win in the SEC.
