We hired a high school coach, and let's face facts: that's what we have

I agree. There were way too many 4th down attempts and the bloody onside kick which gave the impression that Pruitt was desperate. Couple that with the whiteboard incident and misconduct on the sidelines; then you've got a team that has no confidence.

The play calling, which is completely the coaches fault, was abysmal. The same pattern (Run Run Pass) was repeated for nearly every series except with the occasional run up the middle on 3rd and long, which is inexcusable.

I find it pathetic that our fans want to stick up for Pruitt, the one who's making millions of dollars, and blame the kids. This one isn't on the kids. It is 100% on the coaching staff.

It's going to be a hard sell to get recruits to come and play in an offense that looks this bad.
Bad day for that huge recruiting class. They lost a lot of recruits. JP choked. The moment was too big for him. It was like he never had a day like this as an assistant. His experiences didn't equip him for this.

He's never even been a head coach in pop warner. And anyone being honest knows that that lack of experience is glaringly obvious. This isn't going to proceed or end well. The guy is in over his head.

Everybody’s frustrated...but this is just ignorance...

Plain and simple huh?
So why did Chip Kelley lose his first 2 games at UCLA by 20+ points. Must be an upstart with no HC experience too I guess,

What does Chip Kelly have to do with what we saw tonight? What we've seen from the team in any game this season?

If Chip Kelly we're doing better at UCLA, would that somehow improve what we've seen from Pruitt so far as a coach?

Well we interviewed a bunch of guys who had solid resumes and they turned us down, so we ended up with Pruitt, who was not really being pursued by anyone. So it is what it is, and we’re going to lose a bunch this year. Hopefully we look somewhat better in November than we did tonight

3 games and you've determined this? Cmon man. You might be right and he might be the worst coach in Tennessee history but I don't think 3 games is long enough to tell. How's Nebraska doing with their great coach?

I can say it any better. Our players suck. Namely the o line, except Smith. I loved the way Pruitt coached tonight. He's got big balls. If we cab bet some players in here. The SEC better watch out. Cant say the same for Helton.

Pruitt is a good coach. It's easy to have 100,000 fans saying do this or do that. Football is a time and dedication game. Do I think we should have opened up the offense more? Yes. At the same time, I understand why we ran it a lot. We do not have talent to win 1 SEC game right unless we were playing Arkansas. At the rate the offensive line is blocking, we are going to need JG, Keller, Will, and JT to finish the season. Our qbs are in for a long year. Our line has been awful for a long time. Dobbs was able to cover it up while he was there.
Pruitt may be a good "coach." We.need a good head coach. Pruitt has done nothing yet, to prove he is a good head coach.

The same Florida team that needed a miracle hail mary to beat the worst UT team of the last 60 years (before this year) didn't suddenly gain a bunch of stars either. It's the same Florida team that was physically punished by Kentucky two weeks ago. The same Florida team that won 4 games last year. Difference is, we have somehow gotten worse. No effort, chaos on the sidelines, chaos on the fields. Look like a JV team that's thrust onto the field after every starter got hurt. Putrid putrid effort by the entire staff to date.

Cool story. Now did that UF team have their best LB and pass rusher for the UK game? Dont answer that, its rhetorical. Because they didnt.

Now lets get to the heart of your idiocy. Can you name one player besides maybe Smith, on our roster that would start at UF either last year or this year? If so, who and why?

He's not as bad as other school's sixth-best option. But he is still a sixth-best option.

There seems to be a general lack of fundamentals, add in 6 turnovers and you've got yourself a team that appears to not be getting properly coached. I don't know how much positive reinforcement these guys are receiving but whenever Pruitt gets in front of a camera he's generally not speaking positively or with any optimism. The only evidence I can supply that suggests he's a decent coach is that we've won the games we're supposed to thus far and that's not saying much.

I believe Pruitt will do well once he gets his players and system built. We obviously still have too many "Champions of Life" mentalities in the locker room but they will all be gone within a few years. It is really difficult to change that kind of mentality in a short period of time.

I'm not saying he's the guy, but he didn't magically bring star football players with him. Same team that quit last year, minus a few freshman.

Ppl don't understand this. I forgot that one saying... Pruitt "can't polish a turd" of a roster

I wasn't a big fan of the hire, but let's face facts. The options Tennessee had when they hired him were limited. Now it is time to give the guy a chance. We need to be a little patient.
