We're in trouble in Athens, GA. I don't like how UT Martin was able to drive the ball downfield on their 2nd drive. I know it's 58-7 but it's concerning...

We'll beat Kentucky- for instance, get the favorable calls and alloted time to integrate players back from injury; however, Nov 5th becomes real. I think we score on UGA but they will score us. Can someone suggest how we stop their running game and TEs? We will score on them as well but not sure we have enough defense to stop their offense. the guy from Cali and #0 will be a challenge

I still think we make the playoffs. This has been an unreal season!!!!

We played vanilla scheme that series. But yes, not enough talent and too many injuries.

That's against the run, but what about passing? The passing game opens the running game. I hope you're right but our defense looks pedestrian, at best.

Our defense is not very good. We have let UTM score 14 and they are driven BG for another TD. UT Martin may very well score 21 points on our defense. That’s pathetic.

We have 5 starters out and are playing players in the secondary that you have to look at the roster to see who they are. Some are walk ons.

Two things:

(a) we're playing walk ons and frat boys at this point, I think. Burrell is out, Hadden is out, McCollough is out, Charles is out, Turnage is out. I've seen names today that I never saw on the field before.

(b) even before all those guys were unavailable, this was our kryptonite.

Taking the weakness and bleeding it dry, that's never going to look good or fun or comfortable.

I think we can "clean it up" some if we can get at least a few of those guys back. But the real clean-up is only coming with a recruiting class or two.

Give me a break. The game was over in the second quarter. The waterboys will be playing by the end. Keep wringing your hands as we continue to go undefeated.

Irrelevant. We should not give up 21+ points to UT Martin. Have you seen how many points OSU has given up to Iowa? A whopping 10.

There are no answers for our secondary on this roster. It's why we're taking so many in this class and probably a few more from the portal. Outside of most of our starters, this roster needs a HUGE infusion of SEC caliber talent. The drop off after our starters is much, much larger than I realized. Of course the fact that we kept starting Burrell, Flowers, etc should have been a fairly obvious clue. I just didn't want to see it.

Where do I start?
We have 8 starters out prior to the game.
UT has the #10 ranked run defense in the country
UT has top 5 Redzone defense in country
#1 offense in country.
We will have at least 7 starters back next week.
Haven’t stopped pass all year but still undefeated
Beat Bama and only punted 1 time.
UTM still has starters in, while UT playing walk on’s for most of 2nd half.
UGA isn’t better than Bama. Bama had the #2 scoring defense in the country till they played us. The boys are hungover from the Bama as well. We was a 39 point favorite and currently winning by 44. We don’t have to be great in defense l, all we have to do is get 2-3 stops a game and that’s it.

Yeah I guess teams like Akron, Ball State, Central Michigan and Middle Tennessee State have recruited better in the secondary than we have huh?

We clearly do not have much talent in the secondary. We need some recruiting classes and quality transfers to add depth. It concerns me not seeing any growth or development in our secondary. I have mixed feelings on Coach Martinez.

So you're saying those defensive guys that are out will come in and shut it down? I hope you're right
I'm just trying to figure out where you've been all year. Our pass defense has been atrocious all year, and you're watching a game with a lot of defensive starters that never stepped on the field as well as a ton of second and third string guys now. Our best defense is our extremely high scoring offense and the pressure that places on the opposing team's offense to feel the need to score a TD on every possession. We will beat Georgia the same way that we beat Alabama. They will score a lot of points on us, but not enough to win. Georgia's offense isn't as good as Alabama's.
