We have the Facilities.

We have a pipe line to the NFL

We have the money to pay.

We have the Fans

We have a excellent Academics (according to Lane)

We have Tradition and Prestige

We are in the SEC

Why we do not have a coach is an AD with no vision.

Give Hamilton more credit than that. I think he has a good eye for coaches. We're just in an awful situation right now.

You maybe right but if he knew about Kiffin and the possibility on Sat. Then he should have set him straight on Monday with a new buyout clause on Monday.

Unless Hamilton can get a big time coach he should back off and name Kippy the Coach. I am not, however convinced Kippy wants to be head coach. Hamilton should talk him into it and be looking for an awesome hire for DC and cement Chaney as the OC. That would be a good hold until he can find a coach that will make most people happy. Plus he could do it in private and get it right.

I feel exactly the same way, only I got the impression from Kippy's press conference that he was interested.

The fact that the last 4 straight BCS champions are conference competitors and that we have, by far, the weakest in-state talent pool of any of those teams does make it a bit...challenging. Don't think for a second coaches don't know that.

He is saying all the right things, he wants to make the UT job look good, but I think he wants to sit in retirement and just handle WR's

Its just a feeling I am getting.

I could live with this.

We need to let the chips fall and hold Kippy and Chaney and a few others. Get a Coach for the short haul and tell the players old and new that it will be a coach of caliber and a perfect fit for UT that will get them to the NFL if they are capable of it. Build the Family from the Roots up. What a change. Let the players pick the next coach and let them run the search committee and interview the candidates.

How stupid of an idea would not work but beats the heck out of watching MH bounce around like a pin ball.

What do we have? TN HS football sucks and so do most of the players that come out of this state. So you are always recruiting on other school's turf. Brand name of Tenn means nothing hasn't since 1999. Eric Berry is the first decent player we have had go to the NFL in a while.

Our pockets aren't as deep as others.

That's not what I've heard. I heard TN's are as deep as any in the nation. Doesn't really matter though, money is rarely the issue at most traditional power house football programs. TN would pay a staggering amount (just like bama did) if they were in a desperate enough situation and the right coach was available/interested.

You are not being an ****, I understand the request. It is not Cut. Band me for a year if it is cut. No body knows for sure but to bring Cut back will not work. It is more smoke and mirrors....... MH is not stupid and he wants to keep his job.

So you're speculating? I'm not trying to say you're wrong, I'm just assuming you're just stating your opinion.

Logic, Speculating, and an unconfirmed report by a reliable Source. So lets call it logical speculation. Where is MH right now? Is He interviewing anybody else tomorrow or today? Where has he been today? When is Cut's announcement? Ball game? Is there an announcement schedule for tomorrow? 12 or 1? A lot of sources reporting this have retracted statements. Has Cut even been offered the Job?

To say that TN hasn't been relevant since 1999 and to suggest this is the problem with the quality of players on TN's team is inaccurate. Only over the last couple years has TN's recruiting suffered. Not too long ago we had the top 1 or 2 class in the nation and in 2007 we played for an SEC championship and lost to the eventual national champions by 7. The job is complicated slightly by the fact that TN relies more heavily on out of state talent (than some other institutions do). I think the problem is over stated to some degree though.
