We have a good team.

This may be the strongest, deepest team ever assembled on a UT practice field, especially on defense. Definitely the most talented team Huepel has fielded. The problem is the bar has been raised and our competition will also be fielding some of the best teams to ever play in the SEC. The transfer portal and, unlimited payment to players, has allowed big boosters across the country to attempt to to purchase the national championship. One of those programs was successful, all the others failed.
Nah this team doesnt march up to the 2001 team in talent.

Still it’s up there!
Transfer portal has been a bonus.
Great recruiting finds. (Jesse Perry)
And landing studs (David Sanders)

Supposedly the offense is different according to BlueChip sports. I hope so.

Tennessee has a top 5 team in the SEC in terms of roster talent.

9-3 regular season. Bowl win makes 10-3. Sets the table for playoff runs in 2026-28. I bet we make the playoffs in 2 out of those 3 seasons if not 3/3. These recruiting classes from 24,25, and 26 are special. Hope we get some good playoff match ups. We sure got hosed last season ...
How do you feel now?

Same or maybe different? I’m seeing a silly season where we’re Top 5 most of the year…

I still feel the same, just because its such a long season and injuries can wreck things. I have to resist the urge to say "10-2 playoffs here we come!!" after seeing Joey and the new offensive formations and plays.

I said 9-3 was most likely but both 10-2 and 8-4 are very possible. We have more depth right now than at any point since Fulmer was coach, so I am inclined to believe that 10-2 is more likely than having 4 losses. Without major injuries at key positions I just dont see this team losing 4 games this year or any year in the foreseeable future. Too much talent. Fwiw...I predicted 9-3 last year also and was VERY happy to be wrong!! Hopefully I am wrong again. GO VOLS
