Don't blame him really. But I bet it was bittersweet since we got a coach known for producing good CBs. Although, hate to say it but Muschamp coached some good corners as well.

I'm not blaming anyone honestly. As much as I can't stand Muchsuck, he is a great defensive coach.

Talent to compete for a bowl game? Yeah it seems to be there.
Talent to compete against Georgia or Alabama? Nope
Talent to compete for SECE champs? Nope
Talent to compete for the NC? Not even close.
Most thought we could get 5 to 6 wins this year. A few were saying 8+ and some were saying 4 but most knew the likely outcome of this season.

100%. I used the wrong word when I said compete. Record-wise, I think we are right around where we expected to be. I really wanted to make the point that the players we have on the team now are clearly capable of cleaning-up a lot of the dumb mistakes we kept making throughout the season. I think they did that last week, for the most part (no team is perfect and I don't expect our's to be). I just wanted to give our current (underappreciated, IMO) players some credit.

Wow, in two years when these guys are a Jr tandem, along with Pruitts recruits on the D line and coaching, Tennessee could have one of if not the best defenses in the country. I get tingly all over just imagining it. And finally, to the dismay of many in the SEC,View attachment 176417

Will need to develop some LB depth, as we will lose a lot but I like the direction.

Bryce Thompson is graded as the top FR CB in the nation. Alonte Taylor is 4th. Thats pretty amazing.
