Yeah people seem to forget before butch how many times we screwed ourselves. Couldnt get the right personnel or right number of them on the field. special teams cant kick extra point cant cover. Its nice to be complaining about other things.


Then theres the other side...just imagine if some real proven coaches like les miles was spotted in knoxville tomorrow morning followed by a big announcment. Could anyone honestly say awe man we really liked butch and debord?..this was a stupid move.

Im saying i like & want butch but if fired, it better be a homerun of a hire. I will stroke out if we fire jones and bring in anything less than a tom herman or scott satterfield-esque type. And even those caliber of coaches would probably be in over their heads in the SEC and would require the same learning curve as butch did and thats valuable experience butch has now. Butch was/is/will be better at recruiting at this level than an up and commer who'd get the SEC slammed down their throat.

If he makes the changes this off season that proves he is willing to change to keep his job and win here, then I will agree with this. If he doesn't make any changes, or for example he fires Debord but hires his long time friend and assistant coach, or promotes someone from within that will be a "yes man" then we know that he is not willing to change and at the first sign of struggle he should be tossed.

Not me. I'm done with him. IF he makes HUGE adjustments at seasons end and if he aborts this stupid offense, then maybe just maybe, I'll have a little glimmer of hope again. I doubt he does it though. I thought he adjusted last season but this year has been a fiasco. It's the way he talks too. He tells his team that they are going to have a tough game and they believe it. He should stop with that dumb coach speak and just be as a matter of fact. Like Saban. <<< I hate that I have to say that ...I really do!

If we lose to Kentucky and/or Candy he will be hard for me to get behind, I believe he will lose the fan base completely if that happens.

Happy? no.

Upset that so many people are going crazy for Tennessee Zook. This was the year. This is as good as it gets with Butch. We each believe what we want. Myself and many others believe the signs are there.

There are a lot of things wrong with this team. It starts at the top.

Agreed. Butch Jones really tanked it this last weekend. He will keep plugging the square peg into a round hole. The best hire he ever made was his agent.

It's so obvious. Decline in production with both units, the exact same mistakes as week 1, and stubbornness that he didn't have until he came here.

The sad thing is Cincy Butch is so much better than the Butch we have now. He regressed as a coach.

What question? You asked if I want Hart making the hire. I said no, and you kept asking anyways.

And I mentioned other fans because that's how obvious this is. Everyone else can see it.

This is the same hateful attitude we faced when Dooley was screwing up, but everyone wanted him to get more years.

I'm an idiot for coming here and giving my opinion that nobody cares about, just like the rest of you guys.

I never said you were an idiot for posting your opinion. I said you guys wanting to fire Butch right now, while Dave Hart was still AD, was stupid. And all I ever get back when I question it is , the same old crap. Over and over and over.

Sure, he has proven he doesn't know what the **** he's doing in this league sometimes. At times, he's obviously been in over his head. So were we when he showed up. He will fix the offense, he's already cut ties with long time assistants before to get it right (see: Shoop).

He's our guy. He doesn't have all that fancy experience a guy like Saban had. Fact is, Tennessee doesn't get a Saban or Meyer. We build a Fulmer. He grew while we did too, so why would this be different.

I'll hate Butch +\-175 days out of every year, but he is a VFL. He will grow up in front of our eyes. In a world looking for instant gratification, we will show loyalty to a man that recruited better than anyone at Tennessee FOR Tennessee other than Fulmer.

When we're old as ****, we will tell people about a coach we took a chance on and a coach that took a chance on us.

We grow with Butch.

We are growing sideways and the buck stops with the guy making 4M.

Butch hasnt locked down our state in a banner year. The once in s generation legacy class has inflated his Monday to Friday stats.

Inexcusable how some of you have treated Hurd and inexcusable how Butch has handled this whole fiasco. Northwestern was a clear con-job that fits the whole narrative. Just a first to see this kind of implosion from any Power 5 team.

Clear in the Appy State game that the BSiA did not know what to do with a Championship calibre squad. Was happy to "grow" with Butch but we ain't growing any higher with him.

The AD is paying Butch 4 million to know what he's doing. Butch is not even worth 2 million right now.

It is unfortunate that we, as Tennessee have to settle with any coach. Thanks to our lame duck AD bebopping and skatting throwing out big raises and contract extensions, Butch will be sitting on a hot seat for years to come...as Tennessee's coach.

PS: I think Butch is the only coach that should stay after this season (ok--Shoop can stay)
