We got out coached today

Nope. Not all. I figured 5 wins.

It does get a tad frustrating however, when the QB guru coach clearly starts the wrong QB, and if he didn’t know it before BG, he damn sure should have known it afterwards. Yet, Milton starts, can’t hit wide open receivers, leaves 14 pts on the field, then takes another sack fumble, his second in as many games….and effectively puts out the fire the team started the game with.

Cherry on top: pulling a Butch Jones late in the 4th qtr, snatching defeat from the chance of tying the game up, and a possible victory.

It’s not that we lose, it’s how we lose. Self inflicted.

THIS!!!! THIS is how you know you do not have a good head coach when this product is on the field this way.

The 4th down call was the real bad one. Other than that he is still way ahead IMO than what we have had in the past 3 to 4 coaches not saying he's the greatest just better than what UT has had.

We had a chance to virtually put them away early and blew it. Plenty of blame for that to go around, but I wouldn't put this all on coaching. Going from 1st and goal at the 5 to 3rd and goal at the 40 was inexcusable.

No, plenty of putting lipstick on a pig though. Nothing new, and isn’t changing.
I don’t know for sure but your statements seems to be the most likely scenario now. Hope we are wrong.
I have had one question answered for me today. UT will not be the No. 1 option for me on Saturday’s this fall.

That was just one poor example of a badly coached team.

I was just thinking Dooley 2.0. In the job interview for UT's coach, they need to include the questions "Do you know what a QB sneak is? Will you run it at the appropriate time?
Run heupal off it’s really over for UT!! Remember he was near the end of list!!

We were a 3-7 team last season with a brand new staff who lost about 30 players including many starters before the season even began. Of our 71 scholarship players we were also missing several starters that would have made a difference. We weren't outcoached
Been hearing how bad we suck all off season. Anyone have a positive thing to say we've been told, and told and told again everything you just stated, and more. Lol, now there are so many that seemed surprised.

1. Coach started the wrong QB.

2. He burned time outs that we needed at the end.

3. He called a horrible 4th and inches call that probably cost us atleast getting it tied and going to over time.

4. Just kinda feel like Dooley 2.0 and I hope I am wrong.
1. Maybe so
2. The timeouts he called were used to put us in position to tie the game. It worked out in his favor both times. He put us in position to tie it but couldn’t convert a 4th & inches
3. Hooker easily converts if he makes the right read. Argument can be made that QB shouldn’t have to make a read in 4th & inches.
4. You are

I agree Milton should have never started, but do believe coaching has done well in building an offensive scheme. We answered twice with TDs after Pitt went up two scores on us. We had a nice blocked punt.

The Truth is that Pitts QB was dicing us up, especially in the middle. I just dont think we have good enough cover LBS in the middle.

I think once everyone calms down they will look at this loss more reasonably. We were missing our star pass rusher and one of our starting running backs. Our other starting runningback and one of our starting receivers went down the first half. Yet, we had the ball inside the 5 and a chance to tie the game.

The biggest issue I have with the coaches is the number of penalties abd undisciplined plays that killed us at times.

Not to mention we lost allot of our starters from last year to the portal, and allot of our recent star recruits. It's a new system. The opposing QB played like a Heisman candidate (Funny how often that happens to us). That is allot for any team to overcome.

I'm actually surprised the game was so close.

Actually he just had one questionable play call IMO the 4th down. But the refs cost us at least 2 TDs today
