Lines currently have us 8.5-9 pt favorites. I think we cover this easy. I think we win by 17+. Other thoughts?

"Not so fast my friend".....as Corso would say. CRN will have his team ready to play. This is a simple case of disrespect for the Bruins. The big bad SEC Vs. the PAC 10. It's hard to predict how this will play out. Will the home field advantage he huge for the Vols? Will the new UCLA players buckle under? Who knows. I think we win, and wish it would be by at least 3 touchdowns.....but I'd settle for 21 (Vols) to 20 (Bruins) right now and not even play the game.

I think we will win by 10pts....BUT, this coaching staff has exceeded my expectations EVERY time.(staff hires, recruiting, play calling, points scored, defense, etc)
So...Your probably closer by guessing 17-28 points.
That would be good. IMO it WILL happen.

From CRN's comments I think he knows they are going to lose. He's already talking about regardless of the score, if he sees improvement in his team he will be happy. Compare that to CLK's comments above. I think we smoke them.

I'm pretty nervous about this game, actually. I think we win the game, I just hope we don't even give them a chance to be optimistic...like last year when they capitalized.

I think that if we get on them quick, it could be a blow out. If we have a first quarter like we did against WKU, we might be in the hole. I think the key to winning games this year is can the offense keep the defense off the field given our depth in the defensive line.

no doubt. We also added a new maxim to the general's last Saturday ala CEG: WE DON'T RUN OUT OF BOUNDS AT TENNESSEE. YOU LOWER YOUR SHOULDER AND MAKE THEM PAY.

I also think that if we get a big lead, this game could be Eric Berry's coming out part for the Heisman.

what worries me is that im not worried in any way shape or form about this game, and that usually means we blow the game somehow, but that was under the old regime, now with the new staff i have faith that me not worrying about the game will not mean we blow it (i.e. wyoming, vanderbilt, ....other rediculous games we had no business losing), i think we cover easily but itll be a good game, i think itll get out of hand after halftime around the start of the 4th quarter, but im expecting a 17pt win but only a 7pt lead after the 3rd quarter ends, hopefully im wrong and we see another 63-7 rout!!

GO VOLS!

Granted we've only played one game, but I really like the feeling I have that we didn't play down to our opponent. We kept hammering them for four quarters and the coaching staff still wasn't satisfied. I think the UCLA game will be tight possibly halfway through second quarter, but they won't be able to handle the stadium, or our team for a full four quarters.
I don't care what anyone says about the quality of teams we have started off with, it's just nice to have a true sense of optimism about our team and its future.

oh yeah,
GO VOLS!!!!!

Unless our D just falls asleep, I can't see UCLA scoring more than 14. I would even say 7 of them come from special teams.

I think we cover too. I am always optimistic about the Vols. Although Fulmer proved me wrong many times before. I hope Kiffin changes that.

Hope you don't mind me getting off subject for a second, but I liked CEO's statement on the CLK Show. His theory is to push their offensive line back to "create a new line of scrimage".....Man what a concept!!

I think that this is the game that you will Monte's defensive philosophy really play out. From what I hear, UCLA will be starting a QB whose decision making is shaky. I think we pressure him and force him into mistakes and we score some points on defense.

If we can execute on offense anywhere as well as we did last week, then we could be in for a rout. That being said, I think UCLA's defense will make it much harder for us to light up the board...... so we just need to play smart and execute within ourselves

I don't think Eddie Gran is going to allow this team to give up 6 on special teams. That was then, this is now.

You guys are sounding like you did last year right before the UCLA game. Don't underestimate UCLA. They could easily give UT a game. Especially the UCLA defense vs the UT offense.
