We could all pick a different SEC team to follow

I live in Pickens, SC now and my wife is a Clemson alum and our entire family on both sides are all Clemson fans. Im about to just say **** this and go cheer for them. I can’t take this much longer. This is beyond ridiculous at this moment. I have NEVER seen anything like this in my entire life. DETROIT is ran better than this ****. It’s like a skit at this point. This is the college coaching search version of clumsy infomercial people. They are like exaggerating how bad something can be to sell an egg beater or something.

What in the actual **** is even going on here? My goodness.

I have a big orange power T decal on the back window of my jeep and the other day I come out of Walmart and in the dust of my back window next to my power T someone had wrote “wow....sorry #prayers” THATS HOW BAD THIS IS.

VFL

Vols or no one. And right now “no one” has the edge

Wish we would hurry and hire someone before I renew my car tags so I can decide if it’s worth the extra money for my UT tags

SEC choice- Auburn
2nd choice- if you want to be around smart kids, mediocre football, and a stadium a little over half full (sounds like the Vols huh?), become a Wahoo! That's Virginia for all the non-Virginians.

first, ole miss, daughter went there and i have a lot out-of-state tuition invested there. And they do know how to tailgate in the grove.

Second, lsu, not to shabby on the tailgating there, and they do win from time to time--even if i can't understand a word orgeon says. Enough time in new orleans that i'd qualify.

Last choice, georgia, lived there a while and it is close by, and they win a lot of the time these days.

As for tennessee, my pick for over 40 years, as much as i hate to say it these keystone kops antics have worn me down to the point that i am at the point of giving up.
Like the purdue/currie/davenport debacle. I mean did no one have a darn conversation about money before he goes there? I shudder at what might be next. After the kiffin debacle i never thought it could be any worse with no one wanting to come to knoxville. I was wrong. I don't have the spirit or the will to keep looking for a turnaround that i cannot see anyone envisioning. I pray i'm wrong on that.

I've loved my vols, but the vols i loved most were in the late 90's, a totally different thing from today. Sorta like you marry the girl of your dreams and 20 years later you find out that she's turned into everyone's nooner whenever you are not home. She looks the same more or less, but the inside has corroded away and you no longer know her, she is no longer the girl you married.

I want to take pride in the teams i support, not be a laughing stock. I also want the feel comfortable that those involved are doing their best to stop us from being a laughing stock, not adding to the problem.

Surely those in charge cannot be this stupid? (nah, this concerns tennessee football, so yes they can).

I'm still on the fence at this moment, but i am being pushed away from the vols by the actions of those in charge.

i believe this sums up the sentiment of those of us who have followed the vols for decades. Just tired of being irrelevant and not doing anything to change it.

We could vote and follow the same SEC team - think of all the revenue they will pick up when we start donating money, going to games, and buying merchandise since UT obviously doesn't care about it's fans. I want to say not Florida or Alabama. Maybe Auburn?

We run enough polls on here. I think this would be a fun one!

I'm going LSU, with Auburn a distant second.

My old school, Greeneville High School, is tearing it up. Time to dust off the old G-jacket from 1982 and start wearing the green and white again. I wonder if it still fits.

hmmm...I wonder what it would cost to get their coaching staff to Knoxville...

Likely A&M or hell, even Mizzou since they need to rebuild.

Non-SEC: UT-Martin. Go Skyhawks!

I may start following Austin Peay.

I guess if I had to pick one....This is hard...I guess if I HAD to pick one, LSU.

no tatto, but basically in the same boat. don't know any other way. girls make me sing rocky top to them every night before bed...since they were babies. have a whole room of nothing but TN crap everywhere.

the only other school i could even consider would be miss st, both my brothers went there, and i've been to starkville a bunch on visits back in the day.

still......it wouldn't ever replace it. sometimes wish it could, esepcially today.

Well, my son went to Florida State for a year before coming home and going to UT. So I suppose FSU will be the team. At least I can still hate Florida.

Ironically, I'd root for Purdue. Reasonable drive. Been to games there. Nice campus. Brohm would have them competing soon.

In SEC...Auburn

I’ll never rooot for another SEC team. I’ll just spend more energy, money, and time with my alma mater, West Point. I grew up a Volunteer, so I won’t desert them ... but this level of incompetence is Biblical.
