We could all pick a different SEC team to follow

Auburn hands down. Only team that Bama really fears. Loveliest village on the plains. Eagle fly in. Would not even have this consideration if administration and boosters had not made it so difficult and painful to be a Tennessee fan. They just do not understand that winning is the fuel that drives the beast.

I’ve lived in Georgia for over 10 years now but it would be tough to root for another SEC East team. I’ve never had anything against Auburn, LSU, or A&M. I’ve always liked Nebraska too but they are just as bad as we are.

War Eagle!..My wife is a huge barn Fan. One of the first things we discussed. She tells everyone I would not have married her if she was for the Gumps

Mentioned a few times..If they cluster this (which looks like they have in world class beyond my wildest nightmares holy crap fashion)..that all our money for tix, travel, tailgates and gear go to the Barn after this. Will root for Vols but after 30 years of passion will be casual hope they win observer. Actually bought my first AU golf shirt up in Alabama over Thanksgiving for her big game. So I have a "Plan B " too

I know this is probably a stupid question but why do people call Auburn “the barn”?

I could start rooting for the Gators since I live in gatorland. I'd fit in, I wouldn't be an outcast anymore. But f*** that, I'm a rebel. 😎

Kentucky does have really fancy helmets though. And they're better than we are. Hmm....

I will take UGA, they have always been my second favorite SEC team growing up and never hated them just wanted to beat them once a year. I will come back to Tennessee football once they figured it out might be another 5 years and my kids are grown before I come back to this mess I just am literally sick in my stomach.

Hell, I'll just start following Maryville College football. I went there for a year before I transferred due to a change in major. The dumpster fire at UT has jumped its containment and has spread to the landfill.

First, Ole Miss, daughter went there and I have a lot out-of-state tuition invested there. And they do know how to tailgate in the Grove.

Second, LSU, not to shabby on the tailgating there, and they do win from time to time--even if I can't understand a word Orgeon says. Enough time in New Orleans that I'd qualify.

Last choice, Georgia, lived there a while and it is close by, and they win a lot of the time these days.

As for Tennessee, my pick for over 40 years, as much as I hate to say it these Keystone Kops antics have worn me down to the point that I am at the point of giving up.
Like the Purdue/Currie/Davenport debacle. I mean did no one have a darn conversation about money before he goes there? I shudder at what might be next. After the Kiffin debacle I never thought it could be any worse with no one wanting to come to Knoxville. I was wrong. I don't have the spirit or the will to keep looking for a turnaround that I cannot see anyone envisioning. I pray I'm wrong on that.

I've loved my Vols, but the Vols I loved most were in the late 90's, a totally different thing from today. Sorta like you marry the girl of your dreams and 20 years later you find out that she's turned into everyone's nooner whenever you are not home. She looks the same more or less, but the inside has corroded away and you no longer know her, she is no longer the girl you married.

I want to take pride in the teams I support, not be a laughing stock. I also want the feel comfortable that those involved are doing their best to stop us from being a laughing stock, not adding to the problem.

Surely those in charge cannot be this stupid? (Nah, this concerns Tennessee football, so yes they can).

I'm still on the fence at this moment, but I am being pushed away from the Vols by the actions of those in charge.

If I had to switch teams it would be Auburn, or possibly LSU. My Cousin played DB for Auburn 95-98. I watched your Vols beat the Tigers in Atlanta. 1997

Auburn nickname "The barn" because of Auburn's notable on-campus agricultural development programs and because the the word "Barn"s both sounds and is but one letter away from the word "Burn".

We don't need to pick another team. We just need to hire Lane & get busy enjoying a winning football team. This is a good job, I don't care what the media says. If it wasn't, Lane wouldn't want to come here. We've given the last 2 coaches plenty on time to succeed. We just need the right guy!!
