We can't lose eight games this season.

Theoretically, still possible. Go 5-7, get invited to a bowl, lose the bowl, end season 5-8.

Realistically, I agree with you. Tennessee doesn't have the APR ranking to get into a bowl at 5-7. So we end the season either 5-7, 6-7, 7-6, or 8-5. That's our realistic range of possibilities now.

Those guys who said both before the season and after our losses to WVU and Florida that we would NOT do better than 4-8, they can eat their crow dinner now. They know who they are. :)

After the Florida game, I didn't think this team would do better than 4-8. This team made a huge leap of improvement during the Auburn week, kind of plateaued for the following few weeks, then made another great leap this week. Gotta give the coaching staff credit for the win today. They came prepared. That's something we have not seen in a few years. Let's hope we continue to improve against Missouri, and avoid another plateau.

It is still possible....if we lose both remaining regular season games to be 5 and 7. Then there isn't enough 6 and 6 teams for the bowls and we get an invite at 5 and 7 and lose the bowl game then we lose 8 games this year. For us mathematically not able to lose 8 we need one more win vs Missouri or Kentucky or not take a bowl invite if offered at 5 and 7.
