First time in a long time that I can recall that we beat the other team AND the officials.

Aggies had a lot of penalties too but Tenn's was crucial and obvious. I mean my goodness even the false start on the pick.
The refs were favoring them over Bama too. Jimbo has the refs help and still sucks.

we were definitely fortunate that the refs missed what should have been a facemask on us during A&M's last drive, but the A&M Db's held our receivers ALL NIGHT LONG and didn't get called.

Those 2 problems are not mutually exclusive. That is a false dichotomy bud.

The refs didnt call 3 obvious PI calls even Gary mentioned, didnt call false start on the 1st INT play when the RT left way early, didnt call personal 15yd when our ballcarrier got slammed out of bounds...and didn't call a single holding penalty on aTm until the 4th quarter when that very same Right Tackle for aTm HELD our DE on almost EVERY SNAP of the game. The 1 time the refs DID call it...it was on that same RT for tackling our DE in the backfield. The refs did all they could to make us lose this game from the very 1st drive no call on PI 40 yards down field.

Also

Joe Milton almost beat this team today by himself. The only reason that he didnt is because our Defense and Dee Williams REFUSED to let us LOSE.


Both things are absolutely true.

What I'd like to see happen is, after every game, each and every questionable play is shown to the ref crew in a classroom and the question asked:

"Why, or why didn't you, throw a flag on this play?"

I’ll be here next week for this weeks “the refs have it out for us” thread. Truth is calls are gonna go against a team every week. It’s unfortunate. Calls will be missed one way or the other. You have to play good enough football that you’re not blaming refs at the end of the game. Our QB didn’t do that today.

I only saw 1 big drop this game. Maybe 2. Yes, the rest were on Joe. He’s 6 years in and still can’t lead a receiver on a slant. Bigger problem is he’s not a thinker.
