We beat Nebraska!!!

There was no excuses losing to Vandy and SCAR but beating VT Florida UGA and Neb takes off some of that sting for me. It was a roller coaster of a season to say the least.

The Vols were defenseless the last half of year. Lose 3 top defensive linemen for the season - not a couple of weeks - and the defense was a corpse. Oh yeah 10 other guys got hurt. Wins over UK and Missouri somewhat surprised me.

Enjoy the big wins and tune out the low spots. At the end of the year Ole Miss, UT, A&M, and Arkansas all were pathetic on defense. Similar to Louisville in the ACC - just ran out of players. Ole Miss never had a good defense this season - great offense to start the year. Vols had an excellent defense that got decimated with injury. That was a fact -Tennessee Tech was the only team they could push around late in the year - except Nebraska which was also injured on offense. That is the way it went down 9-4 with historic number of injuries.

Other SEC teams are working hard too - there are no gimmes from week to week. Wipe out half a defensive roster and UT has no advantage over anybody. That is how you give up 600 yards to teams that suck. There were no answers when even Paul Bain is injured. Regrouping enough to beat Nebraska is impressive.

Suck it up and rally with Team 121 - or wallow around in misery over losing to Vandy or South Carolina. Butch is 0-3 vs. Muschamp but he ran Spurrier back to Florida and Richt to Miami. I would rather deal with Muschamp in due time. Just MHO.
