When CBS put up the list of all the players who left, where they went and commented that most where starters, it was eye opening. I knew we lost a lot of players but I guess I had forgotten. There were about 20 players that are starting for other teams and most of those teams are pretty good. I’m not one for excuses but what the current staff has done with such a depleted staff is amazing.

I predicted 4 wins this season, so I’m pleased with the record. The biggest accomplishment for this staff, though, is dramatically changing the culture in year 1. The losing isn’t over yet, but the loser stench that permeated the program for years has been washed away. I didn’t think it would be possible to do in year 1.

I believe despite losing some talented guys, the program as a whole is better off with them gone. Not sure exactly which ones. But to perform better after losing that much talent is telling.

Not all those guys are starting elsewhere. Gary was talking out of his anus.

Not sure about Gary’s list but the follow seven guys are starting elsewhere:

Deandre Johnson Miami
Henry T Alabama
Quavaris Crouch Michigan State
Brandon Johnson Central Florida
Jahmir Johnson Texas A&M
Ryan Johnson Georgia Tech
Ty Chandler North Carolina

Plus, Morris, Gray and Lawrence are listed as backups in the two deep for Oklahoma

The loss of the LBs and offensive linemen really hurt…

Some of those guys have to have a little bit of regret after seeing how things are playing out here. I mean, Ty and Brandon Johnson would’ve been THE GUYS this year. Impressive that Heupel was able to plug those spots in 6 months.

I had us at 4 wins, so Im very pleased. Hit the transfer portal for quick help and slowly recruit well. In 3 to 4 years look out, maybe sooner.
