Modify that to say, "If UT had any decent defensive coaching, consistent correct player placement, and DB communication, they would be 7-2 right now," and I would completely agree.
However, Mizzou will be tough. They have QB Franklin and several other key players back from injury. They gave the Gators more than Mus-chomp really wanted. Vandy won't be a pushover either, not with our D.
WRONG. All it would have taken to win every game this year (except Bama) was a couple of more defensive stops in each game (or stopping one or two more big plays than we did on defense). Wilcox defense last year was already much improved from the year before so it's easy to envision very different outcome to these games if we had a defense that is just a little bit better this year (and who is going to argue it could be any worse than what Sunseri put together)?
