We are still in the SEC east race.

As crazy as this season has been, anything can happen. If you guys would quit trying to be Negavols and look at reality, you would understand tis is still feasible.

maybe I am a little emotional right now because my team just got their pants taken down by a huge rival, AGAIN!!! but I think the big picture is that tn is too damn mediocre to even fathom a run the table scenario.

Reality is we are barely above .500 more than halfway through the season.

I appreciate the optimism, but it's just not going to happen.

UT does not deserve to play in the SECCG....losing three games by a total of 77 points does not constitute playing in the CG...I will forever support my Vols, but they just arent that good of a football team this year, D-Line is sooooooo slow!!

No offense BUT ARE YOU SERIOUS, the only race we are in with playing like that is to finish 7-5! I love the VOLS, but let's get real, this is the third butt whippin we have experienced and to get it from bama is almost more than I can take as a life long (I'm 56) fan. Is 7-5 unrealistic???

I bleed orange. It's just that I am almost bled out.

I don't see anyone rooting against UT here. I see people who are pulling for change because it is our best chance of winning in the future.

So let me walk through this. We back into the SEC Championship game with three thrashings in the rear view mirror. We get there, LSU lays down completely (not impossible, given Miles at the helm) and we win. We would have SEC title, but I'm not sure I want to win it by default then slide into a BCS game. Thereafter, our name is bandied about with the likes of ND or some hapless Big East team HAVING to play in the BCS by rule.

The point: who cares. We've been killed in EVERY game that we've played against even decent football teams.

I really, really, really don't want this teams going to the SECCG. We embarrass ourselves when heart is called for, and a shaming right at season's end would put us in an even worse bowl than any we'd be likely to get a bid for if we manage to put together enough wins.

You could have the best coach in the world, and the players can still not play the plays right, and lose.
