we are paying the price..

i wonder if you take fulmers last 4 years at tennessee and then combine kiffin and dooleys wins who has more?

I mean i know its a hard pill to swollow but im telling you what we did to fulmer wasint right and we are paying for it now...

Sure is odd NO team has even sniffed around PF for any of the many coaching positions that have come open. He hasn't gotten another job for a reason.... swallow that!

that would be relevant if he only coached 4 years,

It is relevant. The program slipped all the way through the '00s and the two losing seasons were the culmination on it. To me, what he did his last 4 seasons is much, much more relevant in where he had the program going than what he won 15 years prior to that in a much different conference.

The only price we are playing is that we are a very young team.Hopefully in 2 years these kids will be good and the other kids coming in will contribute. It not going to do any good to get mad this year.

ok, then wait another 50 years for a national championship
were probably 10 years away from playing for an SEC title

i have no doubt in my mind tennessee will be back but we lost national respect when we fired him

lost national respect for fulmer being fired ? you cant be serious.Fulmer didnt make Tn football , he was a part of it.
One thing Fulmer did was start the down fall of the program and got lazy and took his job for granted.
Fulmer should of been fired years ago.

I know im going to get murdered on here for this but i know im right and anyone who truly knows alot about football knows its right 2.

we are paying the price for not letting fulmer turn us around.

Im not going to get into stats etc and how other good football coaches have a slump... but a good coach is still a good coach.

he was a great recruiter for decades and YES when some new flashy coaches came in they started to give him trouble. fulmer was the longest serving coach in the sec and he was the old girl at the dance... but make no mistake fulmer would have been able to weather the storm and be beating urban myer and mark richt for recruits bc they would not be the new exciting coaches...

I think the same could be said about whats going on at gerogia right now...

mark richt is a great coach and that doesint change over night. coaches have slumps... not every coach at every school can win a national championship every year.

bear bryant had stints where people thought he was done...

ill be the first to say that maybe fulmer got to comfortable and alot of times that happens to people when they are at a place for so long...

but he deserved to go out on his own and at least have a chance to turn it around...

so whatever football gods are out there they are cursing us for turning on our own and throwing him out like garbage and hiring kiffin ; young brash sorry excuse for a football coach...what comes around..and boy is it deff coming around on us now..

i know there are going to be alot of BS from people here who like to blame fulmer for when it rains outside..but if there is anyone out there that deep down feels the same way be heard brothers!

It says all that needs to be said about his coaching that NO ONE has offered him a coaching job. The game passed him by let it go Kiffin didnt get us in this position in one year it was Phil get over it foooolmerite

if thats you in the picture.. i agree with whatever you say

Fulmer pointed to the 2008 season as the year big things were going to happen. And why wouldn't he? Almost every starter and most backups were seniors. You saw what happened. With the youth on the squad these last couple of years, we'd have been historically bad.

what about the 2010 debacle? dooley has proven alot less than fulmer. just does not make sense

17 years with awesome talent vs. 6 games with a depleted roster. Your comparison just does not make sense.

I do not agree with OP so....(claps hands and walks away without facial expression)

We are historically bad. Fulmer's problem was not finding a Chavis for the offense. He was a great coach, but needed great coordinators too. Without Cut, he was nothing on offense. You're a fool if you don't think that championship ring made a difference to recruits. Face it. Sometimes you get exactly what you ask for...and it sucks.
