The worst coach in our school's history couldn't go 4-8. This team isn't good, but is better than several of our 5-7 teams from the past. Some of the comments I've seen from you people are ridiculous.

Don't worry. After this weekend, we'll be a 9-3 team again. The truth lies somewhere in between.

UT shouldnt go 4-8

But there are enough teams good enough for that to happen if UT has similar offensive performances as Saturday going forward.

Do you want us to lose or just want some attention?

You're really trolling every thread hard lately.
I swear he's been like that since the FL game.
Christian, aren't you the one who started a thread "My perspective as an 18 Year Old College Student?"
That thread pumped a lot of sunshine and now you're being completely irrational.

6-6. We beat Nooga, Vandy and Ky Jelly. I think we will also steal a win from someone, most likely South Carolina or Missouri.

Don't count on it.

We didn't have that bad of an offensive performance before the UF game. I don't see any reason why we would have one again. Other than possibly Ole Miss and Alabama. But we were picked to lose those games anyway.

Straw that broke the camels back I suppose. The circumstances surrounding the Florida game got me I guess. I thought I wasn't going until the morning of and I got a ticket for $135 and hauled ass up there.

I had never seen Tennessee beat Florida in person, or on TV. (I was 8 in 2004 and fell asleep before it was over.) Losing that one the way we did and putting all my emotional eggs in one basket for it killed me. I literally stayed up 33 hours by the time I got home from the game and was physically and emotionally exhausted. It still hurts, worse than any UT loss I've experienced.

Tl;dr: The game broke my heart

I would go as far as to say 7-5 is still realistic as long as our offense shows up but then again I was fairly confident we would beat Florida by at least two scores as well. :mega_shok:
I sure hope so. Year 3 we better make a huge jump or things will get pretty ugly around here

Yeah, I feel you, dude. We're the same age, so we've experienced the same things basically. I vaguely remember the 04 win.

I'm a student at UT right now, so I'm lucky that tickets are only $10. I would be much more heated if I dropped as much money as you.

I think we all put our emotional eggs into this game. With everything the university did for this game, it was hard not to. It was even more disappoiting, because at the beginning of the fourth quarter, every UT fan could feel the streak ending.

Then, as soon as the back QB came trotting on the field, I knew we were done for. I think the whole stadium knew at that point.

True.

But outside of Vandy (and they are somewhat better) we re not gonna see a more inept offense than UF the rest of the season.

Weirdest feeling I've ever had seeing him come out there. I felt nauseous and sick as if we were losing when we were up 2 scores in the 4th quarter.

Same. My mood switched from "Finally we did it," to "Please football gods, just once. I beg of you."

I agree we all put so much into that game it really hurt. In the SEC when teams try to give you wins you better capitalize on it.its hard enough to win period
