Watching the game saturday and watching us play zone on a 4th and 3 it brought up the question are we so bad that we cant man up Miss St? i think we are really missing Izauea Lanier right now. with Coleman and Lanier at corner and Wagner and Moore at saftey i think we would be able to do a lot more on defense. and i dont remember he is dismissed from the team? or just suspended for the year?

Yes people, our secondary is that bad. i really can't understand how after 3 yrs, we still cannot cover opposing teams WR's any better than we do. This has been the biggest problem on D this season. We haven't been able to shut down a single team's WR set.

Coleman and Waggner weren't the problem in that game. Coleman played well. They didn't throw in Waggner's direction. MSU picked on the LB's and S's. Moore played poorly. None of the LB's including AJ played the pass well. In fact, AJ isn't impressive so far this year in anything. None of the LB's are.

Gaping holes where LB's should have been on long runs does not impress me. A RB swinging out free for a critical first down in game 6 also doesn't impress me. The guy has physical ability but MANY of the big plays vs the UT D this year are because of a failure of LB's to show up. In short, he's inconsistent. He gets burned WAY too often.

AJ is one of the few pluses in a defense full of mediocrity! Dude is a F'n beast, period!

That pass to hunter pissed me off so much. A. Why are we running a vertical on 3-1, B. why is hunter a pussy.

AJ is a beast INSIDE, but is too slow to COVER, or get to the sideline to cut off the wide runs....But, he's only a sophomore and has time to get faster...:salute:

AJ is playing great. No way to argue against it.
