We are going to win the east next year!

Look I am not saying we are sec champs next year. However, I am being optimistic in the fact we can win the east. We can win the the east though! Had we not lost Hunter last year I think the mood in the football forum and around the country would be completely different right now. I honestly think we win 3 out of the 4 games we lost in the east last year. Say that happened no one in this forum would be saying we don't have a chance to win the east. I honestly don't think the pessimistic fans realize how close we actually were to an eight win team last year. Were we close to LSU, Alabama and LSU? No. But they were the number 1, 2 and 3 teams in the damn country last year. We don't play LSU or Arkasas this year! Guys we are set up very nicely to be THE break out team of 2012.

Hello good people of Volnation. This is my first post on here. I've followed this message board for quite some time now. Figured I'd join on NSD. Anyway, while I dont expect UT to win the east next year, I do expect them to at least finish 2nd. UGA will be a tough game in Athens and I just never have been impressed with USCjr. And well, its about time we beat Florida and what better place than Neyland. Let's not get ahead of ourselves. Most people were saying we would win the east after we stomped Cinci. Thats my 2 cents for now

We should be better, but Georgia has the easiest schedule in the SEC and ours is pretty tough.

Your comment about being disappointed if we have less than 9 wins is exactly why Dooley is on the hot seat. I think 9 is possible but just don't think it is realistic yet.

While I don't disagree that Georgia will be tough to beat. I do think we were clicking when we had hunter on one side and Rogers on the other after the cincy game. So had we beat Florida SC and Kentucky the optimism would be we will compete for the east this year. A couple key injuries to our BEST players entirely construed the optimism of this football teams ability last year.

Don't give TB the Heisman yet. Gotta win big games to be best in the SEC let alone the nation. That was a stretch there.

Yes that it did, But they are back and ready to play, along with some help from some new friends.

The only way we win the east is if the Georgia football team is all knee-capped before the start of the season.

True. I'm hoping this year Hunter gets back to 100% or close. Heck, an 85% healthy Hunter is better than most WRs.

With the OL having another years experience and Lane and Bourque in the back field, we should be able to run the ball. With a receiving corps of hunter, rogers, patterson, neal, pig, and browles, we should put up playstation numbers in the passing game. I see a lot of 45-35 type games for us this year. It will rest on the defense whether we are 9-3 or 5-7.

If we are going to compete in the east, Palardy better learn how to kick a d*** field goal. He irritated me more than anyone on the team last year.

I think the vols have a good chance at a 9 win season and if the dogs get off 2 a slow start again who knows maybe the east Go Vols

Hell I don't have any problem with the ban bet. Since Mr. gator wants to bring it up we will see what he thinks about his gators this year.

Over.

Head.

My post didn't have anything to do with ban bet. See Blue's Brothers.

As far as standings go for the east. I think you are right we would have to play the very best a team in a turn around period can. While with Georgias schedule the can play completly average for the most part and still win the east.

This is definitely our best chance in years. UGA still has that weak ass schedule. 8+ wins should be very attainable if everyone stays healthy and Bray can learn to read defenses and he and Dooley can beat teams they haven't yet. I haven't been this excited since Kiffins only year. Say what you want but he brought excitement and had top notch assistants.
