I know nobody is interested in optimism, and I don’t blame you, but we were the better team the vast majority of the BYU game.

As usual we found ways to leave points on the field, turn it over at the worst time, and go completely brain dead with 20 seconds left.

This team has enough to win some games. A lot to iron out but both lines played much better and we started to see guys play with energy. I actually thought the game was pretty well coached. I saw plenty of opportunities to make plays, a lot of them just weren’t made.

I expect improvements and maybe I’m crazy, but I’m not out on this team yet. I’ll support them and they will probably go 4-8, but I’ll be there and they’re going to beat somebody.

IMO, this team will beat UTC, and if a QB other than JG starts, gets in the flow of the offense, gets game snaps under their belt, and Chaney is able to call a 14 yard route on 3 and 3rd and it connects, then we are on the way to maybe more wins as the season progresses, maybe even one we shouldn't win, we have talent, it's young, raw, inexperienced and learning, there are also upperclassmen who have talent, with the exception of JJ and select others, they might as well be underclassmen because they're just now learning what to do as well ... we're not gonna do jack if we have to go through the rest of the season handicapped by a QB who looks good on Tuesday afternoon and blows it on Saturday so bad he affects the play calling because of his inability to execute

JG was late on most all his throws...through two games, he's pretty much played worse than last year. At least last year, he had an excuse, as the OL is giving him a little more time to throw. Gotta get those Frosh in the rotation, and this week is perfect chance...don't really have a choice.

I did see a solid effort from alot of folks yesterday, and less mistakes...though critical ones. We might win a few towards the end of the year if the frosh keep progressing...they were all over the field, yet the soph makes the critical error that every junior high corner back knows how to do in prevent zone. Good to see Crouch out there.

I don't think we'll have a big enough lead for Pruitt to play anybody next Saturday.

This says it all. We are now hoping to win at least one game 🤢
