We are a very poorly coached BB team right now

Pearl is obviously in over his head and should immediately resign, or; trading all of his players who are crapping out right now might work also...

Gotta love coming out of a TO down one point with almost 4 seconds on the clock and drawing up a shot that would be worth 4 points in a Harlem Globetrotter game.

Brilliant!

Pearl is a BIG DISTRACTION right now. Everybody needs to start focusing on Tennessee Basketball and not bruce pearl and the black eye he has given the University.

“I think my greatest challenge offensively,” Pearl said, “is — in addition to getting some sort of continuity and flow, and that has to do with a lot of teaching that needs to take place, still — who to put the ball in [whose] hands who can make a pass, either to feed the post or to get the ball on time, on target to somebody.”

Pearl noted UT’s final possession as a prime example of that problem. The 6-foot-6 Tatum soared over the 6-10, 250-pound Stepheson to collect a defensive rebound with less than 15 seconds left, giving the Vols a chance to win a game they never controlled. But UT took more than 10 seconds to get the ball down the court, forcing Tatum to call time out with 3.5 seconds left.

“If we get the ball into our point guard’s hands, guys run down the floor, the floor gets some kind of spacing and some kind of spread, then Melvin [Goins] maybe make a play,” Pearl said. “We did a poor job in the fastbreak. ... We panicked a little bit.”

---Holy Cow! This should be daily (and day one) stuff. It sure does explain why this kind of thing has happened through the entirety of Pearl's tenure. Can't imagine coach K saying, "We've got to start practicing getting the ball in the right guys hands in clutch situations."

I sense there is very little leadership from the players on this team. Similar to last year when we stood around waiting for Tyler Smith to do something we do the same with Scotty Hopson. Pearl may need to put him on the bench like last year to see if he will get his head in the game not only is his offense inconsistent he turns the ball over way too much and plays little defense. Overall the team defense is not bad. We went into a skid the 2nd half of the Oakland game and have not recovered. We had 50-39 lead at the half that game. Our point totals are in the 20's and 30's per half since.

It's starting to resemble a circus out there. All we're missing is the clowns and the tall man riding the tricycle. There isn't much of a excuse for whats going on out there right now.

They need to just give Woolridge a stationary bike on the sidelines...

We have moved away from a pressing team in every aspect except substitutions. We can play with anyone in the country with our 7 to 8 deep, but Bruce just has to play 10 and kill rhythm.

I agree. USC was absolutely gassed and I cannot believe we didn't run them out of the gym the last 8-10 minutes of the game. Even if our press didn't create turnovers it would have really worn them down. WE HAVE GOT TO SHORTEN THE BENCH and stop playing 12 players!!! It ruins all rhythm and tempo.
