I used to work 30-36 hours straight during residency, taking care of critically sick newborns and children, and I managed to never run my Honda off the bridge or into a ditch on the way home. If this story doesn't stink, then you need to rub the Ben-Gay off your upper lip. There is a story out there.

People crash falling asleep at the wheel at the time.

edit: A quick search shows that we have about 60,000 car crashes a year in America due to falling asleep/drowsy driving.

I have. And it's not a laughing matter. Although I don't think for one second that Lane Kiffin has ever truly worked hard a day in his life (he had daddy for that), or wrecked his car just because he was exhausted.

If Kiffin was drunk and had a bunch of bimbos in the car when he wrecked it, that's between him and Layla.

As I recall, Johnny Majors used to get caught driving drunk all the time, and the cops just gave him an escort home.

I'm just glad he's gone.

You're joking right? For a coach of a program of this size...or any size for that matter...it's no small issue that he was DRINKING AND DRIVING...with passengers in the car no less! Between him and Layla, huh? Last time I checked drinking and driving is a serious offense, and carries stiff penalties.

A coach will be fired for that...especially when he holds his players to a higher standard.

This would be especially ironic considering how he did all those booze it and loose it commercials for the TN Highway Patrol.

Well, for most people, you're right. But be real. We all know that the cops in Knoxville have been covering stuff like this up for years. Johnny did it all the time, and they'd just escort him home to make sure he didn't cause any harm. From what we've heard, Orgeron was caught several times, too.

I bet they didn't even do a breathalyzer test on Kiffin after this "accident."
