Solid episode. Speed of progress is great, a little worried that they will make this too out there but overall still a fantastic show thus far

It's playing out just like the book. I like it very much. Also , for those talking about progression , we have to remember that as of now, it is only a 10 part mini series.

Ok so that was a pivotal moment for me. The big reveal was awesome, yes it was "out there" but I don't feel like it takes away from the show. I do kind of wish that this wasn't just a miniseries because it has star qualities.

Also wish that perhaps they had elaborated more on the fall of humanity. Seems like 2000 years of change can't just be summed up with genetic mutation talk for a minute.

The whole "miniseries" is a new trend for the networks. They create a show and air it, carefully calling it a "miniseries" so you don't get your hopes up for a future. If it is successful and they feel like they can profit off it they order more episodes and keep it running, if not they simply leave it as a miniseries and it runs out.

The producers of this show clearly never saw "Life After People" however. This was a cool show on the History channel that told the story of what happened to earth after people died off. It was a pretty cool show and definitely interesting to watch.

So Burke's wife and kid were living in "present day" and then they're transported 2000+ years into the future? I have no clue what's going on unless the "tubes" that were discussed play a role.

Ethan's wreck was in "present day". He was then frozen or whatever. Then a week or so later, his wife and son had their "accident", then they were frozen. They all stayed frozen until 4028. Then Ethan was unfrozen, then later, his kid and wife. Does that makes since?

Nope. Because that doctor guy has been going back-and-forth. And Ethan's boss seems to know what's going on.

I don't think the doctor is changing time. Everything it showed him doing in 2014 happened before Wayward Pines. He was frozen just like everyone else. I'm guessing Ethan's boss and the gov't was working with the doctor to create Wayward Pines and freeze those people. Unless his boss was frozen, then he's long dead.

What about the sheriff? Terrance Howard was in the future, then back in the present time to cause the wife's oil leak, then back in the future.

I'm think after Ethan's wreck, they decided to go ahead and freeze his family, so they had the sheriff cause the oil leak. Then after a while, the sheriff himself was frozen. No one ever changed time, it was just presented that way. The flow of the episode was that it jumped time, showing the past, 2014, then the present, 4028.

Then why is nobody allowed to talk about the past?

I'm guessing if people are from different times and someone starts talking about the past, it could freak some people out to the point of asking questions.

Agreed. Same with the sheriff. He wasn't time traveling. He was collecting people. Then afterwards he was frozen.

So, any guesses on the finale?

Honestly a bit sad because this really could have been a great series instead of mini.

Still was great and my guess is that they'll seal up the gate, change leadership and that will be it. Optimist in me says they may find a way to defeat the mutants and start taking back the world!

I've really enjoyed this show. Hate its ending.

I thinks the blonde school teacher dies somehow.

Pilcher's sister will turn on him IMO. Ethan will then take over as leader.

Ethan dying was totally unnecessary. In the books, he lives from what I've read online. Also, Hassler plays a bigger role in the books.

The only way I'd want to see a second season is if the explored what happened leading up to everyone being taking out of sleep.

Dang, I forgot about this. Gotta go watch it now.

That ended weird.

Yeah it did. I kind of liked the actual ending, but I felt like the events leading up to it could have been more dramatic. It just felt too easy. Like how quickly they took out the guards. Or how these Abbie's that he couldn't hit in the woods, they were just mowing them down in the street.
