Wayne Chism injury

My bad. I was thinking one of our better players being hauled off unconscious in a neck brace and the team praying for him was a bad thing.

Don't know what I was thinking :)

everyone else has the same concerns, but asking a team to take it easy sounds more like the Fulmer approach than the one exhibited thus far by Pearl.

I agree about being intense. I like it. I just don't like the potential serious injury part.

...also, I just saw the other thread on this.

Mods please merge if needed. I actually did look for one before I posted this one.

sorry

Looks like he is doing pretty well according to the other thread. :good!:

When I was in college I did a 21 second keg stand, fell down and hit my temple on the sidewalk.....worst concussion I have ever had....

This old legend hopes that Chism recovers well from this. It sounds like he is going to be just fine. IMO he is one of the brightest young lads I have ever spoken too. I spoke with him during the Rocky Top league this summer.

ESPN - Vols' player taken to hospital after blow to head - Men's College Basketball

TAKE IT EASY GUYS!!!! CRAP!!!!

Someone else was hurt in practice just a couple of days ago.

It's a contact sport man. All will be okay, I promise. From what I've heard from the players and managers I know everything is okay. At least we don't have our stud players throwing elbows and breaking our own players jaws(i.e. Mayo). Everyone is getting back in to the swing of it all though. I just read that Memphis is also pretty banged up right now. Two or three players were hurt in a scrimmage over the weekend. Relax it's part of a contact sport, all is well in TBA

And yet another non-football-related thread is turned into an anti-Fulmer thread. :eek:lol:
