Whew.. :clapping:

Get well soon Chism.. won't be able to play in the ex. game this friday will he?

Hasn't been said, but I imagine if it was a minor concussion, or just plain getting knocked the f--- out he should be able to play.

I would guess the trainer would OK him to play as long as he rests the next couple days.

i wouldn't push him. Let him play our 2nd or last exhibition, give Brian Williams or someone some time in the first one so we don't take any chances. Heck we don't play a good team for awhile. Tennessee Tech and Temple and teams like that are pretty much exhibitions.

I doubt he has a concussion at all, considering that the MRI and CAT turned up nothing. Also, it would have been in the news report. He'll play limited time on Friday I would guess.

"Tennessee sophomore center Wayne Chism is alert after sustaining a head injury today during practice at Pratt Pavilion. He was transported by ambulance to UT Medical Center where preliminary tests have been negative. Further studies are being conducted and he is expected to be held for overnight observation."

An elbow from Howell? I guess he has to do what he has to do to get to the basket.

Hope Chism is ok.

"Pearl said Chism was injured when Jordan Howell drove to the basket and caught him with an elbow to the head. The blow appeared to stagger Chism, who fell to the floor and was knocked unconscious. Chism was transported to the hospital on a stretcher with a neck brace."

No way this is right. Howell can't drive to the basket and if did attempt it he would just bounce off of Chism.

Did anybody not think 'concussion' after hearing that he was hit on the head and knocked out?

I immediately thought he would have a concussion. When the article came out saying the MRI and CAT both came back completely clean I assumed he was fine. In my experience (high school football) they would be able to find out if he had a concussion that night -- not the next day. But, eh, whatever.
