Next years schedule is very exciting to me. The early week 2 trip to Norman to face OK will be a great game. I'm a fan of having 1 really high profile out of conference game each year. Doesn't make winning easier but it's like having a Bowl game in week 2.
Also, if you look at the schedule you'll see that our big games are all seperated from one another and we play 1 big game in every 3 game stretch never playing 2 big time opponents in a row.
(Big opponents imo are @OK, UF, BAMA and @UGA)
The rotating SEC West game is @Arkansas.
The Vols will not play 2 consecutive road games in 2020 as well. However due to the season beginning on September 5th there is only 1 BYE week. For the Vols this is Oct 17th directly in the middle of the season and before BAMA so that's nicely placed on the schedule.
I'm not thinking in regards to wins and losses for next years schedule just analyzing it for fun. I like the set up and believe the Vols will be as exciting to watch in 2020 as in any previous year.

Go Vols

Don’t like playing Georgia in mid November
Just me personally, but I like it. I think too many times early to mid/early in season, we're trying to find ourselves, and we've pretty much always had a traditional cake November schedule...which works when you can beat the cupcakes...but most other TOP SEC schools have a late season big game or two. For example, I think we'd give UF a much different game now than we did in Sept... placing UGA late in the year virtually eliminates that 4-5 game gauntlet we've been caught up in too many times, and when we beat them, it's big late season press.

I agree and I'll add I hate the weather Missouri in mid to late November.

Maybe Lincoln Riley will be in the NFL next year. Help us out a little bit.
They have a young man Spencer Rattler a 5* QB from Arizona that may be starting next year. Riley gets QB's like UGA gets RB's. This will be a tough game but not impossible by any means. We'll definitely know a lot about our defense after week 2.

Auburn wanted to move the UGA out of November so that caused UT/UGA to move to later in the year.
I found this in an article. Sometimes you have to be careful with what you wish for.

"Auburn got its wish in splitting up the Georgia and Alabama games. Auburn plays at Georgia on Oct. 10, 2020, for its sixth game of that year. But the Tigers will have to play rival LSU on Nov. 21, 2020, just seven days before their showdown at Alabama on Nov. 28, 2020.:

Sets up very favorably for us. Should be favored in all of them except maybe Georgia.
