Way too early 2023 SEC East predictions

1. Tennessee 11-1 (7-1)
2. Georgia 11-1 (7-1)
3. from this point on, who cares? Between South Carolina, Florida, Kentucky, and MIzzou, one will probably suck somewhat less than the others. Or maybe they'll all tie at 4-4 in conference.

Heh.

Go Vols!
Ga will have at least 1 loss courtesy of the Big Orange. And somewhere we will pull an SC performance against someone.

I just want to go into the Swamp and beat the hell out of Florida. I still think we fall to UGA and Bama in close games, but that just may be my nervousness of the last 15 years getting the best of me. Who knows.

All in all, I'd be psyched about another 10-2 regular season with Milton at QB AS LONG AS the losses aren't against weaker opponents.

Florida doesn’t get to 8-4! Look at their schedule and show me 8 wins..

I agree, I think they're looking at 7-5 at best. One of those extra wins would be a perfectly executed game with tons of opponent mistakes. Their QB is a transfer from the Big 10 West--one of the weakest divisions in all of college football--and his numbers there were no where close to "eye popping."

Florida will have a pretty good defense this season. They will lose to Georgia, us, LSU and South Carolina I think they beat FSU in the swamp and beat UTAH. Napier needs a 7-5 or 8-4 regular season or he could be gone after just two seasons he has to beat Kentucky and Vandy and I think he will.
Utes are liable to stomp them. It’s out there this year.

I just want to kick South Carolina's teeth in. I would trade that for a loss to Missouri.

Yuck. I wouldn’t. Losing to Mizzou is the absolute worst. Well, actually losing to UK or Vandy is the worst (I would classify a loss to either of those as unacceptable and a sign the UT coach is about to be headed out the door), but Mizzou is in that next tier of terrible losses along with South Carolina, Arkansas and the Mississippi Schools. I have enjoyed kicking their teeth in the last 4 years. Luckily, I don’t think that’s a trade we need to make and I think we beat both pretty easily. Heupel has made it pretty clear that he enjoys toying with and dunking on Mizzou more than any other team lol.

Georgia 12-0 8-0
Tennessee 10-2 6-2
Kentucky 8-4 4-4
South Carolina 7-5 4-4
Florida 5-7 3-5
Missouri 5-7 2-6
Vanderbilt 3-9 0-8

Vandy will probably find a way to win one or even possibly two conference games, but at the moment, it’s hard to find who those two might be.

I said 10-2 last yr with the 2nd loss to someone we shouldn't, this yr I'm going with 10-2, beat someone they say we shouldn't, but lose to someone we should beat

1.Georgia 12-0 (8-0).
2.Tennessee 10-2 (6-2)
3. South Carolina 8-4 (5-3)
4. Florida 8-4 (4-4)
5. Mizzou 7-5 (4-4)
6. Kentucky 6-6 (3-5)
7.Vandy 4-8 (2-6)
Uf 7-5 at best (I’ll say 6-6). Mizzou 5-7 at best. Kentucky 8-4 at best (I’ll say 7-5). And I’ve got cocks at 7-5 also.

Uga

So that’s a win over uga or bama. Name the loss. There’s only 1 I’d buy.

A lot of people in the media are talking up aTm (AGAIN) . I’ve heard two different talking heads say that the Aggies are coming into Knoxville and getting a win. I’m not so sure I see that w/ us having a bye week before. Who do you see the 3 losses being ?
Appalachian State physically whipped Texas A&M's butts up and down the field last year. That was NO fluke game, and Appalachian State's team last year was probably the worst team they've fielded in the last 10 years. I like our chances of beating A&M in Knoxville.

9 and 3 and second in the East, then in 24 we take the Dawgs down and go to the playoffs, and in 25 go to the playoffs and win the NC. LOOK GOOD ON PAPER, NOW WE GOT TO DO IT.
Our chances of beating Georgia are better this year than next year. This year, they have an inexperienced starting QB and the game is in Neyland. Next year, we'll have the QB in his first year as a starter playing at Georgia.

A&M will be as good as their QB, if he's dynamic they will be good, they have some players. If they get QB play like last year 7 & 5 give or take a win or loss.

We are going to embarrass South Carolina this year payback is coming on them. I bet Heupel will have that game circled.

That will be our first SEC home game hope the stadium is packed and the fans bring it. Time for a day of reckoning for Beamers bad mouthing and cussing the Vols.

We may not play Georgia next year

11-1 don't think we lose to a power I see someone like a Missouri on the road just like the South Carolina game last year. Bama rebuilding at QB as well as Georgia

True, but there is still a load of talent down there. When they feel like it they can play with anyone . They probably should’ve beaten Bama last year and they beat up on LSU pretty good . I think their season depends a lot on how much they function or dysfunction. If Jimbo can bring down his ego a notch and let go of that 300 page playbook he carries around they might be pretty good. I still think we win, but I think they’ll be better than last season.

What has me slightly concerned about that game too is the fact that Bobby Petrino is their new OC. He may be a scumbag, but he can coach offense.

If that’s the case then you are saying we will lose to either UK, Missouri, SC or Vandy. That’s unacceptable.

1.Georgia 12-0 (8-0).
2.Tennessee 10-2 (6-2)
3. South Carolina 8-4 (5-3)
4. Florida 8-4 (4-4)
5. Mizzou 7-5 (4-4)
6. Kentucky 6-6 (3-5)
7.Vandy 4-8 (2-6)

As of now, I'd flip Kentucky and Florida. I think Florida has a chance to be awful this year while Kentucky upgraded at QB and OC.

I think you nailed it. I don't see us beating bama or ga. I think we lose close 7 points or less in each game. 10-2 for us vols. I just think we need another year to actually compete and have a real chance at winning but that solely counts on us getting these highly recognized recruits we are in contention for as well. If we go 10-2 again then our 2025 recruiting class will be like ga and bamas mostly 4 star and 5 stars to add to the growing (slowly but surely) 4 and 5 star talent we have. We need less 3 star talent on the roster and more 4 and 5 star talent at the back up positions to be elite.

Texas A&M will have their best season in years because they roll onto Tennessee’s schedule. That’s just how that works.
