Tatum has all the qualities to take over the 3 spot next season at some point... Tatum is 6'5 and Jajuan is 6'1, Tatum is a better creator than Jajuan Smith, Tatum plays good defense and is just as quick as Jajuan... Tatum also has a great mid-range game, he can pullup and knock down a mid range jumper, and simply put Jajuan doesnt do that, (im not even sure he can)... basically Cameron Tatum is a scorer, and i think it would be great to bring Jajuan, Tabb, and Prince off the bench to bring that energy off the bench

This is a crap and anyone who actually watches UT hoops knows it.

I think it's a stretch to suggest Pearl will start a freshman over a senior (who happens to be our #2 scoring option, and our best defender.)

Have you seen him play? I've heard good things, but nothing as positive as what you wrote. And agree that we need a guy who can hit the pull-up J.

yea my cousin plays for etowah high school in ga and i saw them play tucker (the school tatum went to) last season about a week before christmas and he looked great... he was pulling up for the j, driving to the basket dunking, i believe he had like 5 steals that game too... he had 25 points

incoming freshman. 6-foot-5 swingman...nice prospect...long, athletic, and bouncy, with a nice jumpshot...he'll be a good player for us.

what do u know, u probably dont even watch UT bball yourself, and anyone who REALLY watches UT bball would know that Jajuan avereage 15 points a game and usually hits his first 3 out of 10 3's a game and usually hits about 4 or 5 free throws a game and he usually gets a fast break dunk once a game... but Tatum could get 15 off of creating his own high percentage shot and then get about 8 more points off of steals, fb's and free throws

Sounds like a great player, especially for our system, but that's a HS game against HS competition. JuJuan has worked his butt off for 3 years playing against top-notch college players. Tatum might get serious minutes, but I don't see him starting his Frosh year - at least not at the 3 spot.

Tatum is acutually 6'6 now...he's really improved since attending The Patterson School this year. He'll be a big contributor off the bench next season.

Jajuan has done it and Tatum hasn't done it. Jajuan got votes for all conference. He will be one of the 7 best returning players in the SEC next year. Your assumption that Tatum is going to come in and start next year is based off Georgia high school basketball. That's moronic. Plus, Smith is a good defender. Now go start a "Slick Shelley is going to start next year" thread.

No offense, but you saw him play once against high school competition. I'd say every player on our team had multiple games like that in high school -- even the walk-ons.

Let's not go annointing this guy and saying he's better than Jajuan just yet. Tatum sounds like a nice player, and I hope he's half as good as you say ... but Jajuan is a very good player in his own right. I have a hard time believing he'll start over Jajuan at all next season.

I understand what you're saying, but sometimes you can just tell some guys will be special players no matter the level of competition, and honestly i believe Tatum is one of those players from what i saw... and he has great competitiveness, thats a plus for any level of bball

I would be surprised if Memphis isn't in the top 3 preseason.
We only lose one player.
And check out these two recruits we have coming in:

Point Guard Derek Rose:
YouTube - Derrick Rose DVD Clip
The #3 High School player in the nation

Forward Jeff Robinson:
Class of 2007 - High School Basketball Videos
Click on his name for video
He's a four star recruit.

Not to mention a 6'11'' center from Missouri that we have coming in.

And then in 2008 we are supposed to have two 6'9'' identical twins sign with us
