Since not too many come into this area I figured no one would mind. I just finished this project and it was a blast. I know what I look like but it's becoming a very addicting hobby. This took about 3 days to get running.

I know rwemyss said it took too much room but it's the same as always, just cooler and almost silent. The temps are amazing compared to what it was.

How much in the machine or just the cooling? I'd hate to say what is in the comp.

As for cooling, it was all a matter of silence and fitting in the case I had. The set-up I have in there was around $350 for everthing. With a bigger case and different blocks you could easily get to about $200 with very little drop in temps. I just do it cause I like to tinker and see how fast I can get it going. Something fun about mixing electronics and water :biggrin2:

Wow, VolNation looks tiny on that wide screen.

Where do you buy the kits/parts and how exactly does it work?

If you look at the next to last pic it shows it pretty well. The pump in the bottom sends the water through the lop. First it pumps it through the radiator (see fans in top) to cool it down. From there it flows through the cpu block and the vid card. Next it flows through where the water is held. I used a t-line (the part with the PVC cap) but some use a reservoir. Then back to the pump to start again. It's just a very efficient way to cool your comp when trying to max it out.

I got the parts from a few different places. Dangerden, Jab-tech, and cooltechnica.

Here is the best guide I could find. MaxxxRacer is one of the experts on this. Water cooling guide I am by no means an expert but if anyone has questions feel free to ask.

Very, very nice. I'm offically quite jealous. Makes my new 20.1" widescreen seem a bit less impressive.

My wife calls me the PC nerd already. If I went this route then I will hit the crazy stage! :)

It actually serves a purpose. I've been using multiple spreadsheets for work lately and you can fit 2 full-size on the screen. It is also the TV in my office.

My wife calls me the PC nerd already. If I went this route then I will hit the crazy stage! :)

Very nice pj!!! Do you have an optical drive in the machine? It looks like your radiator takes up the first 5.25" bay...

What did you do with your PSU? Did you take out the fan, or put a quieter one in? The largest part of noise comming from my machine is that specific fan.

Good job though, its a very well done mod! Kudos!!!

Thanks man! Not bad for my first try. The rad does take up the top drive but I have 4. The 2nd is empty, 3rd is the fan controller and the bottom one is the drive. I put the pump in the hard drive cage at the bottom and put the drives in the middle, where the floppy should go. Had to cut a couple notches but nothing major.

My PSU is prety quiet anyways, only a low hum. My HD is the only noise I hear (Raptors are very loud).

Other than that it works great. I'm up 500mhz and my load tems dont go over 38c. If you understand what I just said you might be a... :geek: :p
