Anyone else gonna see the Watchmen? I haven't read the graphic novel but I'm pretty pumped for this movie. Not sure if I'll go to a midnight screening since it's 2.5 hrs and I've got to get up early Friday.

Yeah I read that the one guy Nite Owl is supposed to be like Batman gadget-wise, but Rorschach, the guy in the trenchcoat and weird mask, is supposed to be like Batman's detective persona.

When the graphic novel first was published. It was widely considered that it could never be made into a visual film.
Also is considered to be arguably the greatest graphic novel of all time.I just can't imagine a scenario where this movie is not going to be very, very good

This movie looks awesome. I've never been into comics or graphic novels, but I borrowed it from a friend. I was planning on reading it before the release, but I haven't even started it.

I think in the end this movie is all about timing and being released so shortly after the arguably best comic book movie ever ,its going to have a big shadow to cast out.

Another thing about this movie that may work against it is that it's not the typical superhero movie everyone expects. The heroes aren't completely good and there's no real clear cut bad guy. People expecting that will be disappointed.

I am going with some buddies. I love movies that aren't black and white in their morality.

Saw it last night and wasn't impressed. It was WAY too long, and personally I was bored throughout most of the movie

I've read the graphic novel and I liked it alot. Literally every frame from the comic book was in the movie and just about all the dialogue. The only difference was the ending but it was very faithful. I did think the movie ran a little long and a couple scenes could have been shaven down. It would have made it less faithful to the comic but it would make it better for the people that hadn't read it. I dont know if i would have enjoyed it alot if i hadnt read the novel. The fight scenes were very well done but the movie lost a little steam in hte middle. A good film editior could have gotten this down to about 2:30 or 2:20 but there isnt a whole lot you can take out.

I saw it last night and loved it. I knew what it was about so I wasn't expecting an action movie. The people I went with didn't really like it and thought it was too long, though. Rorschach stole the show and I would definitely watch it again. The movie seems to be hit or miss with most people. I can't really guess who would like/dislike it based on friends I know who have seen it. You just have to watch and decide for yourself.

Great Movie,loved it!Conceptually brilliant.

One of the best sound tracks of my experiences with Movies period!

You can't not mention the sex,(Depicted Sex),the action and Dr.Manhattan's blue Talley whacker.

Ok, so times out. It sucks then? I was so hoping this was the next X-Men and a total action flick??? It has super heros in it, so wouldn't it be natural to expect an action flick? So is it 2.5 hours of character development? I like character development. or is it just boring?

if you go in expecting this to be another X-men, you're going to be very disappointed. There is action, but you can't consider this an action flick. It's more of a morality play along the lines of "The Dark Knight". You know they're supposed to be the "good guys" and Night Owl II, Rorschach and Silk Spectre II are able to somewhat live up to that label.

So if I loved Dark Knight, I'll love Watchmen?
