Ok, it's week 1...FSU plays in ACC. They will win 8 this year, no doubt. By the same token, Coach YaYa at LSU will go 7-5. Book it.

So after watching FSU game i will stand by our coaching staff and players. Understanding the bad result of our game but FSU was just ugly on so many fronts. Coaching and coaching potential vs lack of coaching. Not even close when comparing these two teams. I like our chances as a program going forward, FSU oh my.

I don't think it's that VT is that good, but rather that FSU is just that bad.

TN fans should be counting their blessings that we didn't look that bad.
Fsus defense was really good.

VTs was better, and they had a decided advantage on special teams.

And VT could run the ball and stay on schedule in early downs.

Very difficult to win a game when you turn the ball over 5 times as well.

Amen and amen. Couldn’t agree more.....I think we are on the right track as long as we can get the type of player not the right number of stars on the roster. There’s a difference and we are seeing a combination of stars and lack of development/desire/winning culture.

Taggart looks bored cuz he's focused on looking like a coach who has it all under control. It's important probably to look and act like a head coach. Reminds me of another coach who looks and acts...even sounds like a real head coach, but when it comes time to show how good he's been coaching behind the scenes.....it looks like he's done a horrible job.
Could this be a reference to one of our three most recent coaches?

To throw a long ball your quarterback has to be able to hold the ball long enough for the receiver to get down field. Our offensive line has not shown the ability to provide that time. Yet.

Yep. 2 things, one our OL is inconsistent and two Guarantano, who has advanced his game in some areas, is still terrible at blitz recognition.

Unfortunately, that looked true Saturday. They have the size, the talent, and most even have the experience. They have a dedicated coach. Let's hope before the next game that they figure out whatever they need to do to start showing that ability to provide their quarterback as much time as is needed for any play in the book, because it's a shame to have all that talent, size, and skill if it's not used to its fullest potential.

I haven’t smiled this much after week 1 in a long time

This is the first time I’ve felt like Florida has regained control of college football in the state of Florida since Urban left.

I know things can change, but UF’s arrow is pointed up, Miami and FSU pointed down. Taggart looked dumbfounded.

I don't think Taggart is a good coach at all. I think he's a great salesman, but that's it. He's honestly like Butch Jones. haha!

Also what's really crazy is that either he fires his OC or they never stick around. No OC under him served a 2nd time. Zach Azzani was an OC for him. I don't think Taggart is a likeable coach among offensive minded peeps.

That doesn’t hurt, but the smiling in Gator Nation has more to do with Miami and FSU both looking beyond horrible.

Yeah, I figured it was good ole schadenfreude, but from your perspective, I'd think the biggest smile would come after a win on Nov. 24th to snap the 5 year streak.
