To be clear, if I wanted all or most tv channels I have gone with YTTV and love the DVR function and the user interface is one of the best to use. I just don’t watch as much tv anymore unless I’m trying to wind down at the end of the day and sports are about the only thing that interest me on live tv nowadays so the ESPN deal seems perfect for me. I already pay for Netflix, Prime, Max, and then have Disney/Hulu included with my phone plan. I really just don’t need to spend the extra money on an expensive tv subscription whenever I can put that money elsewhere.

Number of streams - - - I prefer a pool rather than streams for swimming... :rolleyes:

I cut the cord completely, no streaming services. So far I found everything I want to watch, which is 95% sports, streaming on YouTube and ESPN +. The picture quality is not quite as good but its basically free.

My TV remote controls my fire stick with no issues.

Factoring in Gig speed fiber optics if I worked from home, that would still equate to $175 for me paying for cable in my area. Way too much.

Google brings in so much money they don’t even care about people sharing accounts. They launched YouTube TV just because they could and then they said “oh well shoot we can buy NFL Sunday Ticket too.” They ventured into the live tv streaming business for fun and ended up adding crazy money to their already impressive empire.

That's my lean this year. I have switched back and forth between YouTubeTV with ESPN+ and HULU Live bundle over the years but other than sports I am not watching the other junk I am paying for.

GEEZ no way on earth I'd pay this. Sling TV is a 1/5th of that price...

Maybe it's a generational thing... no millennial I know pays for cable/satellite. We either stream or find "other ways" to watch online. Like for instance I am a Chicago Bears fan that doesn't live in the Chicago market... no way on earth I would pay for Sunday Ticket when it's nearly $500 a year... I found a guy that streams every Bears game on his Discord.

Last year I used FUBO, I canceled it after the first of the year because they raised the rate. I'm now using Youtube TV that my son is paying for. Win/Win for me.

Freak, for 100 bucks I can get you Spectrum TV select and you would also get like 7 major apps for free.(peacock, Paramount+, Disney+ AMC +, HBO Max, and ESPN+, Tennis Channel)

We have DIRECTV Stream and have for several years. I think it was $35/mo when we started and has gone up to I think it’s $110/mo now, but my original package got grandfathered in, so we have every channel that I could ever want. We also have the Disney/Hulu/ESPN+ bundle. I never miss a Vols game.

Same here. I could care less about TV otherwise. At roughly $80 a month for 5 months it is east to justify. Especially since I really do love college football and watch a lot of games.

does this service require coax/fiber run to the house or can you stream? Ive been pulling coax OUT when/where I can, I use Spectrum for my cell phones, price is right but service is crap

Same here with Sling Orange. I cancel it once basketball is over. For baseball I just wait until after the game and watch highlights for free on YouTube.

You will at least have to have the coax to hook to your modem, and then you can stream everything through Wi-Fi
