Can't watch all of it tonight but we gave the Florida fans a lot of reason to shut up in the first quarter...

Wish we would've recover the Driskel fumble

As for the running game, I still think they should've ran the CP end around at least once or used the formation more... Florida fell for it a couple of times on the draw

Watched the dooley show and watching the replay on EspnU right now. The turning point in this game was getting the ball near mid field after the fake punt and not doing anything with it. Thats when they started making plays and we stopped. We had em dead to rights through 3 qts. Still dont understand what happened.

8 minutes left in the first quarter... I could turn it off now and feel like we could hang with anybody. I was there so I know the outcome..

I agree... If we put at least 3 points on the board on that drive then take 2 plays away from them then we were at least looking at OT

Yep - you could feel the momentum shift after that.

I can't explain what happened either. The team just seemed to totally melt down. Makes me wonder if that's engrained in the culture of the team right now. These guys still have Arkansas, Kentucky, Alabama, LSU in their minds from last year- once something goes bad, they all fall to pieces. Hopefully we can excorcise that demon.

We got blown out. That being said, we were only a very few plays or lucky breaks from blowing them out. We had 3 crucial drops, 2 on third down and 1 that would have tied the game at 27. We dropped an INT and didn't get the fumble on their 2, as well as threw 2 INTs. I agree about the possession after we stopped the fake punt. We score there, our confidence soars and then they are broken.

Idk, it almost felt like the guys thought "we got this" and just slacked up and florida got their foot back in it. When we stopped that fake punt, thats when youve got to have that killer instinct. Thats where you step on their throats and end the game. Our guys just lacked that mentality and it cost us.

Maybe, but the first play after we got the fake punt was the intentional grounding that made us 2nd and 22 or 23. That hurt, but it was grounding.

They fake punted because they were on the ropes. Oh well.

I agree.... That was their time to turn it up... You can't expect Florida to lay down.. Didn't they watch any of the A&M game?

Then we punt and Burton runs it for 80 freaking yards.

That was the momentum killer...

They couldn't do jack crap on offense up to that point... Even the long run by Driskel wasn't drawn up that way. He's just big, fast and athletic... The only thing that ever saved Florida...

Exactly. I think the players senses they were going to win and instead of putting on more steam they relaxed for just a second. Turn that failed drive into a scoring drive and you go up 27-13 and take away their huge play. Completely different game then. They have to start passing then to catch up. Those three possessions, in my mind, were the difference in a win and loss.

Goal line stand at the one... Lathers slammed Gillislie. BOOM!

Florida definitely went into the locker room worried and you didn't hear much trash talking from the Gator fans either...

The truth is that they are faster around the end than our D. They were getting all their yards, even busted runs, around the ends. I think their pre snap motion froze up penetration as well, as LB were waiting a moment to see who had the ball.

Woulda, coulda, shoulda, almost this, if this, if that ..........................

blah, blah, blah

You can watch it 50 times and in all 50 at the end of the day we lose by 17 in our own stadium and on prime time TV in front of the kids we are recruiting the hardest and need the most.
