I know this thread won't mean much to a lot of people, but I have just recently moved to Iowa and am greatly concerned about whether I am going to be able to see the games up here or not. I know there is a deal with ESPN and now the SEC Network to broadcast games, but is that just for the local markets? Will I be able to see the games up here? I don't mind buying a special package to be able to see the games, but I need to know what to buy. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Dont sweat it. ESPN Gameplan through your cable or satellite company; you will be all set to see all games not already on prime time

I just moved to PA recently and have the similar questions.

Currently my roommate and I have the comcast cable with ESPNU included. Based on the SEC week one TV schedule, I could watch 9 out of 12 SEC games (excluding one PPV, one on FSN, and one on CSS)

www.secsports.com - SEC TV/Radio

I am thinking about switching to comcast basic cable with no ESPNU (I don't really watch TV outside of realm of sports). I would like to know how good ESPN game plan is based on you guys' previous experience? Can I watch ALL UT football games with ESPN(2), CBS and ESPN game plan?

Thank you guys!

ESPN Gameplan is well worth the money and shows lots of games on Sat. Also check and see if you have espn360.com since you can see most of the same games there on you comp without buying gameplan

Thanks everyone. I checked and it appears that ESPN360 and ESPN Game Plan are both available in my area. Looks like I have adverted a crisis for now.

I've had the same worry in Tulsa. Fortunately most of the big games end up on CBS or ESPN2. The smaller games are sometimes on ESPN360 or ppv. Haven't had a problem knock on wood. With the new ESPN deal with the SEC should be even easier.

I used to live out that way and all I can say is get used to Big 10 and Big 12 football. Out there that's all you get. Iowa, Iowa St and Nebraska are on all the time. Most TN games are on Gameplan but you still occasionally get screwed.

In fact, I once had the TN/FL game preempted for high school volleyball game. My kids learned a lot of new words that day.

We are relatively close might have to meet up for one of the games someplace and hang out with our own kind not these big 10 homers I've heard for the last two days and already sick of.

Iowa City boy here... forever transplanted to East Tennessee!

I could hook you up with some Iowa Tickets and wicked tailgates in IC if you get the urge. My bros have season tix and live on either coast. Iowa City is nothing but football in the fall. I grew up in Kinnick.

Sorry.. a little off topic.
