they showed a stat that our special teams was ranked 104 and 105 in punting and receiving. i'll have to go back and look at the stats again, but i was really suprised we were that bad even in 98.

We were never great in the return game under Fulmer. We did have a long run of great placekickers and punters, though.

Return defense was also much better when we had lots of talented depth.

One of the most memorable plays of that game was Peter Warwick making a move on a punt return and just when it looked like he was about to find daylight David Leaverton planted him.

That was a great tackle by David. One of my favorite plays.

Play of the decade. He misses that tackle and fsu mounts a comeback. I'll have to watch it again but I recall it being shoe string.

Peter "The Playmaker" Warrick. a.k.a. Peter "the bust" Warrick. I remember we held him to 7 yards receiving, which at the time I thought was hilarious (and still do) that we held him to less yards receiving than his single digit jersey number. :good!:

I remember that Dale Carter led the nation in KO returns, in his junior year, I believe.

Goodrich made Warrick is Cell Wife the first half of that game. To bad he got injured before the half.

Dennis Rogan was a really good returner in 07..I dunno what the heck happened to him doing that. Just became too valuable to the defense I guess.
